I don't like fussing with blenders or cleaning them out after every single use, they are more trouble than they are worth, but this thing is GREAT! Sometimes I just want to mix up some cocoa in a single cup of coffee... and you know how hard it can be with a spoon to get it all to dissolve. Well, this thing does a 100% total job with no fuss. I still use a spoon, but only to remove the magnetic pill shaped stirring piece. It'll rinse off in a split second. No more fuss or muss. I recommend this to anyone that values their time and getting things done with the least amount of effort.

Finally, a simple, well designed, stir plate, that actually works!I like everything about this plate, the size is perfect, doesn't take up much space, control knob is solid, and the best part, it doesn't seem to hang up the magnets like so many do, and it's powerful. And all at a great price! If I had to nitpick, I'd prefer a power cord to the USB cord, as everyone has so darn many of those stupid things lying around already.I returned the $170 Northern Brewing Maelstrom plate, as it just didn't work very well. This one works MUCH better at a fraction of the price. For the 5 gallon home brewer, this is all you'll ever need.
