Usage
This magnetic stirrer is ideal for stirring and mixing to the need and use in school laboratory, homebrew, food processing and agriculture or some DIY at home. The speed rate ranges up to 3000 RPM with the stirring volume of 3000ml (0.8 gallon). And please be noted that this magnetic mixer is NOT suitable for highly viscous solutions, such as epoxy resins, etc, and glass beakers are NOT included and NO heating function.

We use this for titrations and buffer prep. Comes with a stir bar :) It works well for our purpose (up to 2 L) but the magnet inside the stirrer is not super strong, so you have to use a container with a thin and flat bottom (i.e. a proper griffin beaker/Erlenmeyer flask) for this to work well.

Does a fine job of stirring my 2L flask and works as intended. I did not rate durability, as it was just recently purchased. Could include another stir bar or 2, but you can use it immediately and just pick up some spares. No issues and so far very happy with how it works. Great value versus the expensive name brands (works just as well). Make sure to check your specs so you aren’t using too big a batch (max 3L on this one)EDIT: This was ordered July of 2022, and has been replaced since this unit failed: the spinning magnets in the plate loosened off from of the motor shaft and stopped turning. It was repaired a couple of times before ultimately failing. Ordered a beefier one and decided not to get this one again. (Note: opening the housing voids warranty so I didn’t try for that)

I tried to buy this model because a friend has it and it works well... But a robber stole it when Amazon delivery left it in the entrance of my building. I've got the refund...Just be aware that this kind of stir plates are not so strong... but they work great to stir up to 2L.Finally I've bought a similar one, from another brand, but it works the same way.

I use this for home brewing beer. A couple of days before brew day I concoct a yeast starter 1 to 2 liters using this stir plate. It runs for at least 12-14 hours straight at medium speed without issue. It's quiet and works great, cleans up easily (no crevices or hard to clean corners). No need for a more expensive version as this one works great!
