Yogitoes commands a higher price, so others unfamiliar with the how or why may not understand: There really are few competitors that make a yoga product with the high attention to quality of this brand. So let’s talk about this mat/towel, and determine if it’s worth the value charged for it.1) Doesn’t skid. Like, at all. Or barely. And I mean barely. The entire rear side is dotted with silicone that keeps this in place, atop your yoga mat or on a hardwood floor.2) Soft. Like very soft. Almost soft enough to use as the sole material on a hard floor (and if I were younger, I’d probably use it that way on days I don’t have my mat). And soft enough that when you’re done working out, you can “wipe your face in it” soft.3) Speaking of wiping your face in it…this is absolutely absorbent. Whether or not you use this for yoga, hot yoga (not a fan of that kind, btw) or during/after running on your treadmill, this will slop up the sweat.4) And this slops up sweat and works as a towel for a variety of exercises. Of course, it’s not something to tote around from machine to machine at a fitness center (too long…too big) but it’s great for many during and after workouts.5) Pops into washer and air dries quickly. Easy to maintain. But really durable in the process. So this is something that may be a bit more $$$ …and still, this is not a yoga towel that will fall apart after a handful or a dozen of uses. It has a thickness that will endure. It is coated entirely on one side with silicone dots that are not cheap but of substantial quality. And the fibers are not all pilled, nor are many fibers if any laying loose in the package when you unroll this. It’s well made, so there is that. It really depends on how much you’re willing to extend for a product as this. At least I can attest to how this is well made. Good luck deciding!Dr. Jay 🥸

I would never have paid $60 for a yoga towel but I got it for free so I thought I'd give it a go. All in all I am happy with it. The material is really nice. It's this nubby woven fabric, sort of like upholstery material but obviously softer. It's very grippy for your hands and feet. Other towels I've used have just been loops or microfiber, and they have to get wet and sweaty before they are sticky. That's not great for me because I'm not much of a sweater. This one is sticky from the get go. Underneath it has little silicone dots that keep the mat in place. You can definitely feel them through the towel as you practice but that wasn't an issue. I usually practice at home with a natural rubber mat from Jade Yoga and I have to say that this is definitely not as grippy as that mat. My feet slipped once, when I was trying to jump from crouching dog into malasana (iykyk). But my usual mat is super, super grippy and I would not expect a towel to be able to beat it. I also gave this towel a try on its own on a hardwood floor, for science. It did ok. There was some movement in transitions to standing poses, but it's supposed to be used on top of a mat, not alone on a slippery floor. So, while I don't think it's going to work on its own as a travel mat, and I don't think I will be using it every day, it's definitely nice to have it for hot yoga and for when I don't have my mat with me. Oh, I got the "moon" colorway and it's really pretty. The color is what I'd describe as cobalt or cornflower blue. Because of the nubbiness there's a lot of variation in shade which looks really nice. It's definitely a high quality fabric and, depending on your needs, might be worth the price.

This towel works great: it almost "attaches" to your pad and stays there through out the session. It's soft, it's big, it's versatile - everything you need it to be.It is especially great for hot yoga!!You could even use this directly on a hard wood floor ... if you were so inclined...Despite the little rubber dots, it doesn't smell like anything. Seriously, even fresh out of the package. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price. If the price is something you're comfortable with and/or you want to stick to a name brand -- I would recommend this product.(Really great for hot yoga 👍)
