I'm sad to give this product with such a good brand name a mediocre review. For the price Marshall sells this product, you'll think it would be something that would blow your mind when it comes to sound... But, it doesn't. Not worth the $500... Bass is really low and if you turn it up a bit it becomes distorted and volume goes low and for some odd reason it keeps disconnecting from Bluetooth. I love the design, but, not impressed with the sound for the price it's selling for.

Giving it 4stars because of the price. But it's 5 stars for everything else!!!Long time Marshall - user, still have older-style Mid-s and a bunch of speakers. Really love Marshall's interface (multi-functional button) in comparaison to anything else on the market. GIVE US BACK PHYSICAL BUTTONS!!! PLEASE STOP WITH THE TOUCH/GESTURE/SWIPING BS!!!!As far as Monitor III goes:- SQ is good enough, way better and less dry than the original, wired and wireless Monitors I and II.- Style!!! There's more style in these than in Sony, Apple and whatever competition there is out there - all combined!!!- Comfort: can actually wear these for hours without thinking about it- These do fold down as small or even smaller than Mids/Majors- Battery life: don't know how they did it - but there's nothing out there even pretending to be close. Just hoping - they didn't jack up sensitivity at the expense of SQEnough said!

So I wanna preface this review by saying I consider myself frugal as heck and I'm by no means an audio enthusiast/audiophile. I also have hearing issues in both ears and have only had these headphones for about 2 weeks. Also the primary use of these headphones are in an office/cubicle setting.Summary: Excellent value, sturdy construction, solid audio quality and no touch functions!!!!! Soundstage function seems a little niche. Great case without charge through capabilities, and rather short charging cord. A worthy investment if you're already looking at over ear headphones in this price range.Pros:Basically everything"Cons":No ability to charge through the case. More a nice feature over a con.Soundstage feature is...... ? I don't really notice a difference using this feature unless I'm only using one side of the headphones then I notice an echo and turn it off.Rather short charging cable, but who doesn't have a longer one kicking around?Retro look may not be for everyoneI never thought I'd spend 500$ on headphones but this seems the above average cost for most pairs these days unless you buy other brands like soundcore (I love Anker products by the way and would have bought a pair of their headphones. More on why I didn't later)I have been wanting to buy replacement headphones for a while. I used to use Jabra earbuds and loved them, but now with my hearing aid I either have to choose between my hearing aid or the earbuds. Also my earbuds were showing their age and not fully functioning anymore. So I decided to replace them with over ear headphones.I had my eyes on the Sony xm5 ones for a long time and at 500$ also I was very reluctant to buy them. Then these headphones hit the market and I read reviews and saw a lot of potential plus a ridiculous battery life to boot. I didn't buy either due to the price and continued to monitor hoping for a sale. The Sony xm5 headphones dropped to 380$ CAD and I was going to buy them, but I hesitated and wondered about these ones instead. I looked them up and while not on sale, I was able to use Amazon payments to buy them and suddenly the price barrier was removed. Reviews of the Sony xm5 were all over the place. Reviews of these headphones also have some negative points. One of the main ones I saw was the noise cancelling capabilities, but I decided to risk it. I'm so glad I did.First off build quality of these things have me beyond impressed. Best as I can tell they're made primarily of metal for most of the band and the spinning peices that connect the ear pieces to the band. The wiring seems solid and thick although for some the fact that it's visible may be a drawback. The case is solid and appears to be a nice fabric of some sort, maybe velvet? Inside the case you find your shorter charge charging cable, but it's usb c charging so you probably have a longer cable around already. Also no ability (that I know of) to charge the headphones while in the case. The headphones fold very neatly into the case and with the metal build I'm not worried about breaks like my old Sony pair did. The app is great and guides you through setup. One thing I will note is in the app there are two eq options. One is the Marshall brand eq which seems to be just a standard eq setting that I haven't found out how to change. The second setting has a few presets and a custom option. The custom option may be a bit overwhelming for some, it is for me. The reason being it doesn't use the typical labels I've found in other eq options. Usually you see options like bass, treble, etc. In the Marshall app it refers to the frequencies instead. So if you don't know your frequencies like me you have to either random play with the different sliders blindly, or do some research. The Bluetooth connection seems solid. I haven't tried testing longer distancesa away from the connected device yet, nor have I tried different floors etc but it seems solid enough.Sound quality wise I don't really notice a difference between my old jabras, or even the Sony over ear set I had. I have also tried the recent Bose earbuds and an over ear set as well and again I can't say I notice a difference in the audio quality. The only exception being the soundstage option. If you're like me and sometimes only have one ear cup on at a time and use this option I noticed the songs I listened to would often have an echo which went away when I turned off the soundstage option.Noise cancelling: as I mentioned in my preface I am hard of hearing and as such for me even when the noise cancellation is off I still have difficulty hearing things around me so presumably the headset is still sealing sound in and out respectively just passively without NC on. Having said that I still hear outside noises with NC off and with the TRA mode (essentially a mode that allows sound through that can be tailored as to how much is allowed through). I can make out some voices and other noises but not so much that it disturbs my music listening. NC from my limited use blocks out the sounds I do hear in my office. I haven't tried them out in noisier environments like airplanes, walking down the street etc.Microphone: limited use on this feature as well as my jabras often caused issues when being used for calls etc but the few calls I have used the Marshall monitors on seem clear and so far no one has had issues hearing me.Comfort and function: these things are cozy and comfy. I have been using them for almost 6/7 hours a day and I barely notice they're even there. Another nice thing is the headset is stable and doesn't slide around or off my head. The grip of the headphones isn't too much and doesn't cause discomfort and it fits good around my larger head. Buttons! So there are two buttons and one thumb stick for lack of a better word. One button is a dedicated NC button and switches through your NC modes. The other is a Marshall button that's use can be changed via the app. I have it set for soundstage right now but I may look again for a better use. Lastly there is the golden thumb stickesque control. This is used to turn the headset on by pressing inwards. A quick press pauses/resumes your music. Then pressing up or down adjusts volume and pushing forward or backwards skips forward or backwards respectively. I really like the PHYSICAL joystick and buttons over the typical touch controls seen in most headphones now. However this design choice again might not be for everyone. Voice assistant access I believe is accessed via the Marshall button if set to do so. There is also an included usb c to aux cable tucked away in the box. I have yet to use it and the only thing I'll note is depending on what you want to plug your headphones into the cord may or may not be long enough and you may need an extender.Battery life: I charged the headset fully when it arrived and after about 2ish weeks of use roughly 4/5 hours on average per say, some longer days it shows at 80%. So I think the claims of 70+ hours per charge depending on NC settings is probably going to be accurate. Also on the topic of battery there are settings within the app for maximizing your batterys life. These settings are intended to make your battery last long term not to maximize life per charge. So you can limit charging to 90%, temperature thresholds, etc. I don't know if these will extend the life of the internal battery or not but I have them currently turned on to see if it helps. Conclusion: I was very reluctant to shell out so much money for headphones. My most expensive pair has been my old jabras which ranged between 200-300$ so this was a big jump for me. However I'm happy to say I have no tell regrets thus far. As you'll see in the photos they do have a unique design and are modelled in a more old school fashion the leatherish look and the "exposed" wires that run down to the ear cups again emulating that old school style. I like retro look personally so for me it's a big win. The overall design and craftsmanship make me optimistic this headset should last for a while and the physical buttons are a nice touch for those who don't like accidentally activating touch functions when adjusting their headphones. Overall I'd highly recommend these headphones if you're in the market and looking in this budget category. If you're on a tighter budget there are many soundcore options available some that also boast significant battery life and good overall value.

These are definitely comfortable and can be worn for long periods. The bass might not be as deep as some competitors, but it's more than enough for most people. I’ve seen reviews mentioning build quality, but I find it to be solid. The ANC works well, especially when music is playing; outside noise is barely noticeable. I take the subway every day, and with almost two hours of commuting each way, I haven't had any issues with the ANC. The only downside is the lack of a spatial audio feature.

Appena accese immediatamente connesse all'app e pronte all'uso. Bellissime esteticamente e solide. Cuffie consigliatissime.

Always been a fan of Marshall products but the build quality on the pair I received was disappointing.I ended up returning them due to the creaking plastic noise on the right earcup. This was never an issue with the previous generation.
