My welder chart gives recommended settings based on gauge thickness. This lets me know what material I'm working with so I don't have to convert from mms to gauge

I am restoring an old Mercury and thought this gauge would be useful for metal fab. I keep mine on my keychain and one day my coworker asked me what gauge I thought some metal was. So I pulled it out and we had our answer. He loved the concept so much as he also does alot of metal work he had me order one. The quality is great, I like this particular one as the numbers are engraved - not colored on. It's rugged and durable, but most Importantly accurate. If you're into metal work at all this is a handy gauge to have!

I got this simply as a key chain accessory cuz i work in sheet metal - I found it to be nearly perfect in accuracy but they need some use to break in
