Had to file down one side of a wheel because it would not turn freely. The same on one of the arms.

Test pieces in the picture: The small round stock is mild steel the longer piece is aluminum. Worked great on my 8x14 mini lathe. I couldn't be happier unless I had a larger budget. It might not last in a production environment but for a hobby machinist it worls amazing

Not suitable for mini lathe. Terrible pattern at any feed rate.

This is an appropriate size tool for my mini lathe. The clamping action accommodates for the lac of rigidity and it fits nicely into the 250-000 quick change system with the 250-001 holders. Now for the downsides. Its cheap. the cutters(rollers) are dull, the arms are loosely fitted and misaligned with each other and the adjustment dial is poorly fit to the arms. These are fixable issues with minor work and seeing as the mini lathe is a hobby unto itself, this product seems to fit right in.Lets face it. If you were aiming for high-end you wouldn't be looking at the cheap ones.

Overall a pretty good tool if you're OK with a bit of tolerance on the margins. The knurling is very sharp and grips fingers well. The tool is nicely designed and fits even in a tiny lathe. Wish you could tighten it up a bit to reduce sideways play.
