I took this with me for travelling around rural India. It works very well and is extremely effective at purifying water. It’s a sturdy and well made piece of kit that gives you confidence in its’ purpose

(Update)Do not blow through it as this will compact all the filter product. Filter still works but it's SLLOOWWWW.DONT BE ME I ORDERED A NEW FILTER LOL.Amazing product works great. Only thing I'm not a big fan of is the bag it drains into isn't as big as the one u fill up. Either or we fill water bottles anyways and I use the other bag for adult beverages on our camping trips lol. It filters 500l more than the platypus as well and it's only 20$ for a replacement filter. The water out of the lake taste better then the tap at home 10/10 recommend if u camp on a budget.

Nachdem das Innere meines Sawyer Squeeze Mini nach vielen Jahren zerbröselt war, sollte es der Miniwell sein. Der Durchfluss ist viel höher als beim Sawyer, der immer extrem viel Druck benötigte (daher der Name). Selbst eine kleine Flasche draufgeschraubt, läuft aus dem Filter ein kleiner Wasserstrahl raus.Das mitgelieferte "Eimer-Anschluss-Set" sieht hochwertig aus und lässt sich auch mit einer Plastiktüte (!) verbinden, die über dem Filter aufgehängt wird.Besonders gut finde ich die flexiblen Kaufoptionen. Dadurch konnte ich ein Set bestellen ohne Flasche, da ich schon eine faltbare besitze.

Bought in over the winter, and didn't get to try it out. Went out twice now and it work great. Good flow. Tasted good after filtering lake water though. Plan to use it more over the rest of the spring into summer. Highly recommend it. Plan on buying another filter buy it self when I need to.

I bought this for travelling. It’s small and compact, but can filter a larger amount of water in a matter of minutes. Really great device to have if travelling to places where it’s not safe for foreigners to drink the tap water. The filter also screws on perfectly to a regular size water bottle so you can drink directly from it. Just don’t forgot to air out and dry out the “water bladder” after use, as mold will eventually grow inside. I should have thought about this, learned the hard way. The whole device, including water bladder folds to a small size equivalent to one shoe (weird reference, I know). Would highly recommend and would buy again.

I've use the Miniwell a couple of times now and I must say I'm impressed with it. On a recent multi day backpack across Dartmoor I relied on it for my water supply (with a backup of aquatabs). Not by choice a couple of times I needed to filter some pretty dirty water, it really was minging, algae mud, horses and sheep had been drinking it, and probably peeing and pooing in it. The miniwell performed brilliantly and I was totally fine drinking the water and for my dehydrated meal. I don't like the supplied bottles, they're difficult to fill from shallow water. I use a CNOC bottle / bladder with it now, so much easier to fill. Anyway, given the filthy water I've put through it and not gotten poorly, I reckon it's all good. Don't forget to backwash it though to get the crap out.

Field tested this system during a two week hunting trip up in the northern Rockies. Overall it had performed very well.Was able to filter 1 litre of water under a 5 minutes. If that seems like a lot to you, consider that this is a passive system, which means you can just set it up and go do something else in the mean time. This actually saves you time compared any active filtration system.My only gripe was with the main dirty water reservoir (the one with the built in hose). The black retainer clip was a huge pain in the kisser to slide on. It was so frustrating that I avoided using it entirely, and just use one of the collapsible water bottles as the dirty reservoir, since they have that nice hole in the bottom to help it upside down. I was able to refill the main 3.5L clean water reservoir by doing multiple cycles with the one litre bottle.

My Mini Well works great! I take mine with me when I go camping in the backcountry. It's light weight, compact and can provide you with clean clear drinkable water quickly. The connectors are very versatile. I have connected my mini well to my other larger bladder bags, by attaching the mini well to the hose of the bladder bag. This way I don't have too keep filling up the 1L bag that's provided. It's very convenient to have that option, this product is worth the money and I would recommend others to buy it.

We used this for a 7 day canoe camping trip on the French River for a group of 7 people. It was a massive improvement over an older hand pump that we had. I filtered several 3L bags per day into a larger 2 gallon / 8L container that we had. The flow was always fast, and when it slowed a bit the included bottle was quick and easy to use to backflush, which restored the flow. I filtered well over 100L of water during the trip which we either drank or used for cooking or dishes.I was a bit sceptical of the quality of the filtration, but I found an independent review that included this filter online and I was reassured that it meets the claims made. Everyone on our trip found the filtered water to be great.The bag is well designed and seems like it will last well. The top slide closure was reliable and relatively easy to use. The supplied hanging strap and mini carabiner worked well to hang the bag in a variety of situations. The only improvement that I would suggest is to sell with a larger bag, since 3L required a few refills at times to fill our larger container. It would also be good to include a second silicone tube to attach below the filter into a container, however it was easy enough to set the height to filter directly into our container.You won't regret getting this filter for a similar trip!

It worked great. Went backpacking for 4 days and it was definitely a saving grace....we really wouldnt have survived without it. It's very effective and quick, and very easy to use.However, day 2 and the filtered water part got a hole in it. It's not the strongest plastic. Really upset about this. Would really like a replacement on this, if possible. Even if its just the one part. Otherwise, great product.
