It is a Must to have it installed in new construction if you are planning to have ceiling speakers or inwall installations, saves time cutting holes since drywall guys does the cutting when they put up the drywalls

I wasn't sure about buying these for our new home construction project but they are a lifesaver when dealing with drywallers that could care less about the size and location of an opening for speakers. This tells them exactly where and how big the circle needs to be. I placed 14 different speakers with 2 different sizes throughout and it made it almost mistake free for the drywallers. I say almost because even with these, they still missed the cutout for one speaker. I would definitely buy again. Thank you

The guys helping with my basement (including drywall) should have been the ones that told me this product even existed. I found them in a YT video.These make it dead simple for the drywallers to locate the speaker hole, then they just jam their cutting tool in the center and quickly make a perfect circle for your speaker. Check the specs on your speaks to ensure you get the correct size. Speaker size DOES NOT equal its required hole size; The hole is always going to be smaller. (Which should be obvious but apparently is not, based on some reviews here!)I left a couple of them in the ceiling to add some strength to the speaker mounts, but a couple of other speakers in another room had a mounting mechanism that wouldn't go over both the drywall and the plastic on these rough-in brackets. Easy fix - just reach inside the ceiling/wall, grab the plastic rough-in bracket and twist. It snaps off very easily.

These speaker rough-in brackets fit my Acoustic Audio by GoldwoodCSic63 in Ceiling 6.5" Speakers perfectly. Now the sheetrock installers will make the cuts instead of me (new construction).

I liked these speaker rough-in brackets. They fit my Acoustic Audio by GoldwoodCSic63 in Ceiling 6.5" Speakers like they were made for them. This will allow the sheetrock installers to make the cuts instead of me (new construction). After installation I'll never know they were there, but I appreciate the time saved.
