I was very excited about this product. I loved the way it looked online, however the product is not worth it. I cut a hole in my wall and installed it and it does not hold the Google display in place. It just rests inside and is not secured. I had to add Velcro to hold the unit in place. Would not buy this or recommend it. I can not return because now I have a hole in the wall. Very disappointed

fits great and really happy it comes with an extension cord.only think is the clips that hold the nest are abit tricky.

Easy to use wall mount with simple to follow instructions and extension cord which we really needed. Love our nest too. Mounted in wall cavity, the bass is boosted and the nest is not in the way on our bench.

Overall good. little pricey. installation was easy. appreciate that it comes with power extension cable. my only complaint I have gen2 nest it doesn't fit securely. The top of the screen tilts away from wall leaving a gap and screen pointing slightly downward. As others mention screen may fall out if bumped

This nest video hub mounting frame is quite simple to install. It comes with an exact dimension cutout template. I took a number of photos from start to finish installing the frame and the nest video device it is meant to hold.I am an Amazon Alexa smart home supporter, but some items in my home also connect to another voice assistant so thus this investment into a convenient solution of putting the assistant in a central location for everyone to see, hear and use.The one thing you should ensure is cutting out your drywall with no chance of hitting any live electrical wiring behind the area you choose. I used an advanced stud finder that also detects live electrical wires and used my experience in installing countless handy boxes and electrical wiring over the decades to do this job. If you are not sure of what is behind the drywall, please consider contacting a professional to stay safe from getting a shock of damaging your house wiring.I used a coping saw blade to make my round corners for the cutout and a hand held drywall keyhole saw to cut the long straight runs. After removing the tape and using a utility knife to trim and rough drywall paper, I inserted the plastic frame and attached the 4 metal retaining clips and from the other side of the wall, drilled a 3/8 hole to pass the power cord through to connect to the nest device.Unfortunately I ran into a small problem. The frame would not ‘clip’ into the upper portion of the back of the nest device. There are two small, short ‘tabs’ dropping down from the inner area of the top part of the frame. I take it they can press into and retain the nest device so it will stay in the frame and not fall out to the floor. They could not clip into the area they were designed to so I came up with a retaining clip of my own, the clear nylon divider, cut a little to become a finger retainer, mounted into the wall, into the wood stud with a 1/2” stand off, worked well to ensure the nest hub would not drop to its demise on our kitchen floor.All in all, the frame worked well to cover the drywall, make an aesthetically clean look to the nest video hub and mount it as flat as possible to the wall. It would have had 5 stars if it actually did clip into the device. But I must say that along with an over inflated price tag that is why I gave it an overall 3 instead.

TL;DR: Great mount, does exactly what it says and looks clean. Only difference between what I received and what was pictured was the MOUNTgenie branding that wasn't in the listing's product photos.I happened upon this listing accidentally, but I'm very glad I did. I'm very happy with the way this turned out and looks. I had my Hub sitting on my kitchen countertop previously and it kind of added a bit of clutter. Raising it and mounting it into the wall has made for a very clean look.Installation was pretty easy – use a stud-finder to make sure you've got a clear location for the cut-out, use a level with the template to make sure it's straight, trace the template, then cut it out of the wall. I had intended to keep the drywall cut-out for easier patching down the road, but mine fell into the wall (heads up) – whoops. I also dropped one of the metal clips into the wall during installation as well, but it's holding very firm with 3. Fairly straightforward all around.I didn't want to create a new electrical outlet in the wall, so I just used a small cord grommet near the existing exterior outlet and ran the power cable through it. Looks pretty clean for my tastes.I didn't need velcro or anything some of the other reviewers had mentioned, but I could see the potential need to use something to affix the Hub to the mount if you were going to handling it frequently (to tap the screen or adjust the volume manually, etc) – the Hub is placed into the mount and is perfectly sturdy, but it's not held there by anything other than gravity, so it will move when you touch it. This shouldn't be a problem for the majority of people, I expect.Very happy with my purchase and the end result – I would recommend it.

Im in no way handy with tools so was hesitant to buy this having to cut a hole in the wall. Finally amped myself to do it. Ordered a drywall cutter traced the outliner of the holder that is provided. Got to cutting less than 10min and it was done. I did have issues with getting power to it but I whipped up something. Basically I made an extra hole bottom near the floor and passed the power cable through tied with a metal hair clip. Then I put a magnet through the hole that was made for the mount and started fishing. 5 minutes later I was able to get the metal with the magnet and pulled it out. Then tada it works. I did mess up by not using a stud finder because I made a hole and stud was there right down the middle. So the hub couldn't sit in. So yeah I bought a hole patch (a new experience for me as well) got the wall patched then retired now knowing where the stud was and all done ✅ looks great👍 very happy with it. All this took (including patching the first hole) 35 minutes

Been waiting for something like this! Super useful to have the hub mounted on a wall instead of on a desk or countertop. The install is easy if you know what you are doing, cutting drywall this accurate can be difficult if you don't do it with a delicate hand, and take your time. The hub fits in nicely with a subtle 'click'. I painted my frame the same colour as the wall to help blend it in. Ended up getting two of them, one for front door and one for basement, powered one with PoE and works great.

When the packing arrived I was sceptical, but once i opened it up, I was pleasantly surprised. It came with a template and a much needed power extension. Install was easy, I used the template to outline the cut. Used a knife to score the drywall and carefully made the cut. Installed the bracket and clips and the hub snaps right in. Looks super clean as seen on picture. I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

Totally love this mount. Install is rather easy however you need to make a hole in the wall so make sure you have the proper tools. Otherwise, i felt the mount doesn't really "clip" in place and to avoid the hub from falling out i added a small velcro tape to the back just in case. Overall, would buy again and totally worth it. I looks great and it makes us use the hub even more than before. Great customer service as well.
