I've had it for about 3 weeks. So far no negative issues or disapointments. Bearing in mind it is a budget priced HD unit.I've also had a Sony NWZ A 17 for a number of years. That's my standard for comparison. I wanted another HD unit to alternate and extend the life of the Sony battery. This unit seems solidly built. It is heavy for its compact size, but nowhere near the heaviness of a rugged phone. Easy enough to carry in a pocket or bag without discomfort.Setting up went as straightforward as could be expected. But using the rotating wheel can be a delicate process. And using the tactile buttons to enter and go back takes some getting used to.I worried about the process of putting music on an sd card. But it went easy enough. I inserted the card, saw the unit recognized by the computer. I created folders and dragged/dropped the files into the folders. The unit when disconnected from the computer requires some time to scan and process the files but for me, worked out without problems. Folders are recognized, scrolling and then button pushing in will show the content. Pick the folder, then the album and then it's a button push back to the play menu.I only have used the folder entry, so can't comment on the other play options. One complaint is that it took a lot of time. Quite a few hours. But I had a 256 G card and filled up every bit of it. 95% FLAC files, 05% MP3s. I actually wish it could handle a 512 G one or more.Sound was very good. Better than the three other generic music/media players I have bought on Amazon. The brands will show up immediately on any music player search. But both FLAC and MP3 content sounded richer and fuller. But very close, but not quite as immersive a specrum as the Sony. The Sony also is tactile but has a blue tooth mode and other options. The EQ options are basic, but do give you some extra control. You do notice a difference when trying them.I haven't tested the battery fully yet, but so far seems about the same as the Sony. Mostly used on FLAC music, so it could vary based on content. Probably around what the company claimsThe issue with album covers appearing or not does exist. But it doesn't bother me personally.I've used Sony extra bass, Bose wired, and a generic cheap set of headphones. The headphones did make a difference as they do with all players. The bass was very deep and full with the Sony pair. The Bose phones gave a nice clearly defined balanced result. Even the generic set was better than on budget players. In conclusion, so far I feel I received what was advertised and expected at this price. Operating it is a little tricky, but not not too bothersome. The sound is an upgrade from generic MP3 players and phones. No doubt higher priced units have other features and better specs. But that is factored into the price. My Sony cost more almost a decade ago.The one unknown is durability. Time will tell. So far, so good. But within a small sample size of use. Obviously reliability can be the most critical factor. As well, it would have been nice to have had a screen guard and protective case included. I've improvised, but ot would have easier with something inluded.

I wanted to get away from using my phone. I enjoy listening to music. It works well. Seems easy enough to use. The sound quality is superior to anything I have used before in this formatt. Draw backs no bluetooth, if you consider that a draw. You need a wired ear plugs or headset of high quality to get the most out of this unit. Trust me it is worth it.

Device looks nice has substantial weight but isn't to heavy.Menu is mostly simple to use with one exception- when you turn the dial clockwise menu icons rotate counterclockwise until you get use to it it may be annoying. Second con is the fact that playback controls have a bit of a lag.Construction quality looks good with one exception - graphic around the dial rubbed off almost completely during first week of use.Battery lasts long, display is good enough for intended use.SOUND QUALITY:This aspect is very subjective - for me sound is absolutely fine, but :*I'm not an expert*I haven't use any other Hi-Res player before so have nothing to compare*so far I've played only MP3 files on the deviceHope that my review helps at least a bit.

This DAM player is perfect for my needs. I needed a DAC Player to connect to my old school analog stereo system that I can store my entire music library on and play random selections. With the appropriate cable, it is plugged in the AUX input. The controls are easy to use in this static situation. The sound quality is very good.

I started getting into hifi audio and wanted a dedicated player so I wasn’t killing my phone to listen to music. I plug my iem right into the unit and it sounds great. The line out is great for my car since the Bluetooth sucks in it. Getting album art is kinda a pain and you have to delete the artist name out of the file or it won’t display song names. I’m assuming that’s because it doesn’t have enough ram.Over all good sound and after messing with files it’s nice to navigate so I’d say it’s worth the money!

Amazing & Powerful lossless & MP3 pkayer with DAC. If I could give additional star for the design, I would. Made of metal with a wheel for volume and other cool physical buttons. However, not perfect:1. Album art pictures should be in a very particular small resolution, otherwise, no art is shown2. It will show you alphabetical order of the files ONLY if yoy transfer them at the same time. If you decide to add additional songs to the existing folder, it will display them at the end.3. When locked, youa re unable to regulate volume!!!4. Sometimes might skip a bit. This one is weird. It ONLY happens, when it is locked and is in my pocket vertically and I take it out of it and place horizontally. For me it is not a deal braker, bcs it Only happens when I take it out of my pocket (not when it is in my pocket and I walk around not when it is on a table ever). Conclusion: Overall, it is very good, if you can leave with the quirs of this device.

This seems like a solid little device, I had high hopes for it, but a few days in the headphone jack stopped working and the Line-Out Jack was unable to get sound to my car stereo. It delivers some signal, but it's not working. I'm replacing it with something else.

I purchased this player specifically because it does NOT have more modern features like touch screen and wifi and bluetooth. Every time I use my phone for stuff like this it seems like you touch it the wrong way and it just annoys me being so touch sensitive ugghhh...I just wanted a simple player with a good interface that is intuitive to load all my folders of albums. I have probably close to the max of 256gb of music on my computer, recorded vinyl records and ripped CD's and I wanted to get better sound than a phone. There are phones that have good sound but not for this price. I hook this up to an Aomais bluetooth speaker with a stereo cable in, and also bring it into the car the same way, through the AUX port. There is nothing wrong with a solid player, and it feels solidly made, that is like a walkman I use to have. The interface is intuitive and pretty simple, and I have nothing bad to say about it. Are there other players that cost more and have better sound? Sure, but the difference isn't much. The thing is, standards are up these days and what you can get at this price point is great. You want the highest quality, which is only marginally better? You'll pay way more for that. And besides that, most sound can be EQ'd so for clear reproduction of whatever it is you ripped into digital, this will be perfectly fine. Small enough for your pocket, even though it has some weight, and it won't just go do whatever it wants if you touch it the wrong way. No stupid android to deal with or bluetooth connectivity problems etc etc...Just fun listening. It comes with a 64gb card, and that holds a ton even with all my files being flac. If I lost this tomorrow I'd get another one right away, I'm not going to pay 500 for something that has features I don't need or want. Simple is good, and it also has a line level out for when I get my stereo receiver set up to input this into. The ONLY negative here for this, is that they haven't upgraded the micro USB to a USB C which is a newer standard so hopefully they'll upgrade that at some point and maybe a higher capacity transfer/charge cable but you can always pull the card out and use a faster reader and reinstall the card. Thanx Mechen!

The unit feels like it is quality built. It seems to have decent features. But, for the love of God, if you're going to design a music player that can fit THOUSANDS of song, have the brains to design a user interface that displays the song names properly and gives the user a way to EASILY search for what they're looking for. Jesus, why is this so damn complicated to accomplish in 2023? I have 15 year old Sony players that mastered this a long time ago. Spinning the wheel continuouslt or pressing the arrow to ONLY be able to go down or up ONE TITLE AT A TIME (once you reach the bottom of the scren) is tedious, ridiculous and utterly stupid in this day and age. Find a way to skip from one LETTER of the alphabet to the next... I'll keep my THREE Hi FI Walker H2s, but am likely sending back this poorly designed player. I expect this in a 30$ player, but not one that sells for much more. Give this thing a much needed update, because other than good sound, this thing has little going for it. On top of that, I've had this thing out of the box for 24 hours and have already had to reset it a few times as it freezez and nothing displays on the screen. Wow. The M30 has potential, but needs an upgrade in search capability and title display + proper album order.
