This heater very easily keeps up with our 5000 gal. pool. (northern Indiana).I have a timer that allows the pump to run 12 hours a day, and that gives the heater enough time to do its job, and automatically kicks on and off as the pump does, due to its internal flow sensor. Our first heater developed an issue with the thermostat, so I informed Amazon and they referred me to the manufacturer, who soon contacted me.Ashley was very helpful, responsive, and effective. With a couple interactions via email, they were soon sending me a new one. I would highly recommend this small and mighty heater, and also this company.Note: This heater was very easy to install; the original ones did not come with gaskets but I believe the newer ones do now.

I built a DIY hot tub out of 150 gallon stock tank, with ~85 gallons of water when it's full. Well, I'd originally intended the tub as a cold plunge, but the allure of making it a 2-in-1 was too great. I tried a heater from another company, and wasn't able to ever get the thing to turn on, which I assume was due to the pressure switch not receiving adequate flow. I had it plumbed in kind of a weird way: from the pump, I had a 3-way valve that diverted either to the chiller branch or the heater branch, then a second 3-way valve from the outputs of the heater/chiller back into the filtration system and then into the tub. I suspect that the resistance from this complicated system was a bit too much for the pressure switch in the heater, which is why I never got it to work. After returning my old heater, I got this one and plumbed it inline right after the pump, and lo and behold, it worked! I put it on a 30A GFCI breaker (which is way overkill for the ~13A this thing would pull), with two 110V legs to give it to the 220V it needs. With the small quantity of water in my tub and heavy insulation I added to the cavity that holds the tank, I can get it from ~70F to ~103F within 2-3 hours, and it has no trouble staying there in outside temperatures of ~40F.PROS: The case is made out of metal and the little unit feels quite sturdy as a result. The controls are dead-simple, just a knob to change it from off to its maximum of 40C (~104F). I really appreciate the addition of a light that shows when it's working; the old heater didn't have that. It came with a few PVC fittings, including two 1.5" ID unions that I was able to plumb into my system without much trouble.CONS: I wish it got hotter! Also, like a lot of spa heaters the PVC fitting are some custom size/threading, so if you solvent-weld them incorrectly you're kind of SOL, so be careful. In summary, I had no issues getting it to work, and I love having a hot tub. For the price, it's a great little unit.

Purchased this product in may 2023 and had it hooked up 30 days later. Electrician wired it to a 220 volt GFCI breaker and it instantly blew the breaker. Checking all the wiring, which is simplistic, everything was fine. Determined a dead short internally. Unfortunately I was one day late of return policy and now have to deal with manufacturer. This is a very non complicated product and somehow still screwed it up. Looking like I just ate the $180.00 price tag. UPDATE!!! EVEN THOUGH THE PRODUCT WAS DEFECTIVE THE MANUFACTURER RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY AND EVEN THOUGH AMAZON 30DAYS EXPIRED THEY CREDITED MY ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS PROMPT, POLITE, AND CONSIDERATE WHICH WE ALL CAN APPRECIATE

Install was a breeze. One of the included fittings are nice and snug on 1.5 inch pvc. Unfortunately electrician hooked it up this am and unit is dead. Stuck ordering the same unit again as switching brands would require more work than rolling the dice that the next unit will work. Will update if new unit functions.Update: It is a 3k heater so will not heat quickly. Functions as expected. Approximately 1-2 degree rise per hour. Easy to use and set.
