The terrarium is the perfect size for the windowsill and it looks as described and lightweight.However, if you wanted to create a true terrarium with soil and water lining the inside of it, you wouldn't be able to. The bottom on this one was not sealed or lined up. Water & soil will escape every time you water it. I placed my plants in small containers to catch excess water and that works fine, but it also limits the space/plants I can use inside of terrarium.
