I’ve been using the ONiLAB 120℃ 5-inch LED Digital Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer for a couple of months, primarily for making DIY cosmetics and household cleaners. It has been a practical addition to my workspace, simplifying the process of heating and mixing ingredients. The hotplate heats up efficiently and maintains a steady temperature, which works well for melting waxes, blending oils, and handling temperature-sensitive ingredients. The ceramic-coated stainless steel plate feels durable and cleans easily after working with sticky or oily materials. The temperature probe is a useful feature for keeping track of heat levels, particularly when precise temperatures are needed for specific formulations like emulsions. The stirring function operates smoothly, with a speed range of 200 to 1500 rpm that accommodates both thin liquids and thicker mixtures. The included stirring bar is effective, though at higher speeds, it sometimes disconnects in thicker solutions. The support stand holds the temperature probe securely enough for monitoring without constant adjustment. Adjusting the temperature and speed settings is straightforward using the LED display and control knobs. The setup was intuitive, and I didn’t need much time to figure out how to use it.The compact size is a good fit for my workspace. It doesn’t take up much room but handles the 1-3L batches I typically work with. I haven’t tested its 5L capacity yet, but it seems capable of managing larger volumes. The build quality is solid, and the ceramic-coated plate and stainless steel base seem like they’ll hold up to regular use. On the downside, the power cord is a bit short, so I needed an extension cord for more convenient placement. Additionally, the temperature probe connection could be more secure, as it occasionally shifts during use, though this hasn’t affected accuracy so far.

This is a nice stir plate, which presents with a simple user interface, but it's a bit tricky even so. Overall good materials, but the construction seems just a bit shoddy (power switch didn't always turn on the power in the '0' position!); the power connector partially pulls out when you try to unplug, and the IEC plug didn't seem to fit quite properly. I like having the stand to hold the thermal probe vertical included with it.

This is a very unique item without a lot of uses, but does its job very well if this is what you need.
