This ink dries up within about 10-20 sheets of printing basic text. Not sure if this is an issue with the amount of ink in the cartridge itself or the chip that attaches to printer doesn't allow you to print more than a certain amount so you buy more. I hate my HP printer, it's a totally scam and waste of money. Unfortunately I'm stuck buying this very expensive "ink" until I get a new printer of a different brand with no annoying cartridges.

Lasts lot longer, less cartridges to get rid of, store or keep replacing, although initially more expensive upfront than the smaller single ink. However, recently bought this and the cost was split into smaller, varied, mutiple charges, for just one ink by Amazon, creating lot of confusion, even contacted Customer Service to figure this out. A simple purchase, became too involved and it should not have been that way, it's only ink. Not sure why the ink was divided up that way in cost and might go back to buying in-store to make life simple.

Anyone who currently has (or has had) an HP Inkjet Printer/Scanner knows how annoying this purchase is.I can think of hundreds of things I would rather buy with the $95 I just spent on name-brand HP Black XL and Color XL Inkjet cartridges.HP's "Dynamic Security" prevents us from using third-party ink with HP printers. Those of us who thought we had landed on the bargain of the century when we purchased knock-off ink cartridges that note “HP compatible” on Amazon (or similar) have learned the hard way that nothing but actual HP inkjet cartridges will work (per HP design).HP began the practice of banning unauthorized printer ink in 2016 with a firmware update that prevented third-party ink from being used. And they have the nerve and the audacity to say they do this “to protect the quality of the customer experience."Most HP printers are relatively inexpensive (or can be) and after spending a lot on elaborate printers with all the bells and whistles, I returned to a basic HP Printer/Scanner I picked up at a Black Friday sale a couple of years ago. Dirt cheap but the ink cartridges run about $100.Some techies have found ways to bypass HP’s inkjet cartridge protection and it's worth looking into. But in the interim, we are all forced to buy ridiculously expensive inkjet cartridges if we intend to print anything on an HP Printer.

I mean it is a casual printer ink. Prints nice, stays for about a month b4 i repurchase and the value is a good deal. I've bought this multiple times. It was just the recent one that I recieved that had dry ink and it printed nothing when I most needed it. But, Amazon were nice enough to replace it for me and it arrived pretty quick. And, they gave me a really long time to return the damaged one. This has nothing to do with the quality of this product since it was probably just the last and oldest one on the shelf that I happened to get. The nice thing, is that they didnt wait for me to return the damaged one b4 giving me the replacement. Really nice!
