This is one of my favorite houses to decorate for any season. I removed the fence and perches and used paint and decoupaged cardstock to the sides. Added shingles to the roof. I painted and reattached the fence after adding “landscaping” around the house base. Have made them for fall, Halloween and Christmas. Everyone I give them to is so happy to receive them. They do take at least two coats if painted. I add wood windows and doors plus seasonal trees and other decor. Fun to work with.

Much smaller than it appears in the photo and the quality is similar to one of those cheesy paper thin balsa wood birdhouses you buy for $7 or 8 bucks in the kiddie aisle at a craft store. For $25 I expected it to be larger and better constructed.
