About this item

  • PROFESSIONAL SMOOTH FADE IN / FADE OUT EFFECT: No more abrupt turn on / turn off of your lights. Instead, they slowly increase in brightness when you turn them on, and slowly decrease in brightness when you turn them off.
  • CHOOSE FROM 13 SPEEDS: From slow to fast, you can choose from 13 different speeds. Simply press the "Left-arrow" and "Right-arrow" touch button to increase or decrease the fading speeds. Clearly display the selected fading speed with the three digit seven-segment indicator
  • POWER UP TO 8 AMPS: At 12 volts, you can power up to 8 amps of LEDs. An internal diode is integrated for reverse polarity protection. Input voltage: 12-24V. Output voltage: 12-24V.
  • ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES: 1000's of creative uses, whether you want to light up your car, truck, boat, house, our high quality fade-in fade-out LED dimmer module is just what you need. The project ideas are endless, and we love seeing new ways our customers use this LED controller. Send us your application photos!
  • LIFETIME GUARANTEE: We sell products that last. Our rock-solid guarantee means we'll replace your LED dimmer if there's ever a problem. Pass it on to the next generation with confidence.

Input voltage: 12-24VDC
Output voltage: Same as input voltage
Stand by current draw when unit is powered up, but connected LEDs are off: 25 mA
Maximum current: 8A@12VDC, 4A@24VDC
Protection: Reverse polarity protection
Dimmer size: 78.7mm x 47.5mm x 14.4mm
Weight: 68g
Length of the wire on both sides: 170mm
Wire gauge: 16AWG and 20AWG
PWM frequency: 7.5kHz
Trigger mode: Support both positive and negative trigger
IP Rating: IP66
Note: The Fade-in Fade-out LED Dimmer is designed to have the 12v+ and 12v- input wires constantly connected to a power source
* The 8 Amp dimmer needs about 10 seconds to "warm up" after connected to a power source.
* The speed can only be changed when the dimmer switch is at "off" state. It means that the light connected to the dimmer has to be off (i.e. after faded out) in order to change the speed.
Package Included:
- 1 x 8A Fade-in Fade-out Dimmer
- 1 x 3M adhesive tape

Fader fades in/out my LED lights on my truck as advertised. This uses the Vout- wire to fade. All lights you want to fade in/out HAVE to be connected to the Vout+ and Vout- wires. You CANNOT use a chassis ground point/lug. I had to re-wire a bunch of lights that used a chassis ground lug to the Vout- wire on this fader.Fader works best with single color, single function LED strips/lights. My RGB rock lights would flicker colors until the fade in process was complete. My running board running light/door assist/sequential turn signal strips do not like the PWM method this fader uses. Sections of light would be dark, while other sections would have just the amber on, other sections would have both white and amber on. A voltage filter will fix this issue.Incorporate this product into your electrical build as early as possible to avoid the headache I had of rewiring many lights.Fade adjustment time is very easy to adjust. The red LED time display does not go dark after a time period. It would be good if this did go dark to lessen the phantom battery drain.3.75/5 stars overall.

Excellent operation. Used it to fade in and out LED lights on model railway. I was a little confused at first with the wiring diagram as an extra wire went to the switch. This was owing to the fact the switch shown was for an illuminated one and this is not necessary. An effective and inexpensive device that works great.

I purchased this in hope of being able to fade the LED strip lighting I used for a dressing mirror I put together, lighting that is controlled by a HC-SR501 PIR sensor as you step in front of the mirror. I was not disappointed. Pretty straight forward, I just needed a transistor and relay to pass the +12V to the dimmer trigger when the sensor signal goes high. Using an on-off-on (SPDT) switch and a second relay, I easily incorporated a second circuit which bypasses the sensor and dimmer, so the mirror lighting can be set to always on, always off or sensor activated. I used a standard 12V wall wart to power everything, btw.I can't think of anything I don't like about the dimmer, it's clearly marked so anyone with fundamental understanding of electricity should have little to no issues using it.

I've got an especially (overly) complicated setup and this works very well, I'm using it in a custom bathroom lighting setup and use a 12v motion sensor which activates this device, which connects to a 12v rotary dimmer and then to LED tape. I wasn't sure the dimmer would work properly in concert with this device, but it does. I use the dimmer to set the maximum level, most often at full, but occasionally lower in the evening. I don't get any unusual behavior, though obviously when reducing the range, the fade is less pronounced. Only complaint is that, at least on the unit I have, the speed button is hard to push. It gives very little tactile feedback, but I imagine that most wouldn't be adjusting it much.
