I love a clicky keyboard! This gives me that satisfying sound in an ergonomic keyboard. It does have a resonance that I didn't expect, but that's ok. Comfortable to use, and I was a little concerned when it said 'low profile', but I am very happy with the height of the keys off the board.

Although it's a TKL (tenkeyless) format, it's as wide as the Logitech one with a numpad. Bought it hoping it would be skinnier and thus avoid hyperextending for mousing. Will give it a go but disappointed given the form factor. The ability to create inverted pitch (tilting downwards) is amazing... just wish it wasn't "full width".

This is the best and the worst keyboard at the same time. The red switches are amazing, super light, no-strain, easy typing, just wow. Build quality- solid, very good bent shape both horizontally and vertically, high quality materials. But the wrist rest is horrible and even painful - if you place your hands on the keyboard in an ergonomoc, wrist-straight position, the palm of your left hand stands exactly on the sharp edge of the plastic. If you want both of your palms to rest on the wrist rest, you must bend your wrists inwards as you would on a regular keyboard, which defeats the purpose. The only sustainable way to use this keyboard is to find a very thin and flexible keyboard wrist rest and lay it over the edge of the keyboard’s own plastic wrist rest.If they improve the wrist rest, this would be the perfect keyboard for a variety of activities ranging from gaming to office work to coding

Decent ergonomic mechanical keyboard without useless numeric keypad. The only keyboard I could find that combines the aforementioned characteristics actually. Plus it's affordable. Rated 4 because the one I ordered had a small defect in it - the right control key wasn't working properly. Returned, refunded and ordered another one(with blue switches this time) which clicks like a charm ;)

It's hard to find a mechanical keyboard that is also ergonomic shaped and has no number keys. This one fit my needs perfectly and works great. The built in feet are very good and makes my typing much more comfortable than my old rectangular keyboard. Only comment is that the space keys are very clacky, I had to glue some rubber rings underneath the key to cushion it from hitting the base.

I was looking for a split keyboard with mechanical switches and this one was recommended a lot. Here are my impressions.Pros:- compact TLK layout is almost standard; it was relatively easy to type on coming from a 75% keyboard. I like that the arrows and the insert/del/home/end/pg up and down keys are full size even if it means that the keyboard is assymetrical (longer on the right side).- the cable, while not detachable, is braided which helps with durabilityCons:- other reviewers have mentioned that the wristrest is a bit short and i agree, it could benefit from 1-2in more to be able to properly rest my wrists on. however, my hands do not hit the edges of the wristrest like others have experienced.- the default tilt is too low and one must use the legs to tent the keyboard at an ergonomic level. unfortunately, the legs are made of cheap plastic which will eventually break, as experienced by other reviewers.- the only keys I'm struggling with are the bottom left ones (control, function, start and alt keys) as they feel squished and are not intuitive to use as a touch typist.Switches:I ordered both the brown and the blue switches to compare and here are my observations:- the blue switches are way more satisfying to type on. the audible and tactile feedback they provide is excellent and makes typing very crispy and satisfying than the brown switches. my one knock against them would be that they produce a loud high-pitched noise compared to the quiet browns. I wish there was a quiet version of the blues.- the brown switches are a mixed bag for me. in terms of feedback, they have barely any tactile bump and feel like a red linear switch. typing is therefore less satisfying than on the blues. the upside is that they are very quiet for a mechanical switch and would be appropriate in an open space office.- i'm still debating which keyboard I'll end up keeping but I'm currently leaning towards the blues since they are more satisfying to type on.

This keyboard is awesome. It is a little loud, but otherwise it's perfect. I've been using Microsoft ergo keyboard for about a decade but I wanted to switch to something more durable. The Perixx is the perfect ergo keyboard that is also 10 keyless making it more compact on my desk. The keys are a little loud... but I quickly got used to it. The legs have dual height adjustments which is great for sit/stand desks as your wrist angle may change between the sitting and standing positions. One last caveat, if you're coming from the Microsoft keyboard, the home/del/end/insert keys will require a few days of relearning.

Let me begin by saying that I have tried quite a few ergonomic keyboards over the years. These were most of the well-known ones on the market with the exception of those priced north of $200.Even with the ergonomic shape and design similar to this keyboard they were all missing something that I had not known was important in a proper ergonomic keyboard. This distinction is the mechanical switches underneath the keys.If you're on the fence and not sure if mechanical keyboards would make a difference I suggest you look into how it can positively impact you. I personally recommend you get the Blue Tactile switches, even though they are considered loud. The tactile feel and sound will help you become a better typer in the long run and help you maintain good finger and wrist health. As someone who has suffered from Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) in my wrists and sometimes my finger joints, the difference was instantly noticeable. After a short amount of time, the strain and pain were all gone.Thank you Perixx for making a high-quality keyboard for a very reasonable price. It makes a big difference in my life.

I have two split ergonomic mechanical keyboards that I have built myself and use at home, but they are unsuitable for taking into the office. I have been looking for years for a commercial quality ergonomic mechanical keyboard that is well built, has the features I need for work, and that I can use at work in the office. This one finally meets all my requirements. What I like:Great build quality, its heavy and sturdy, and a metal finished top plateHigh quality braided USB cable with integrated cable tie.The wrist rest is the perfect size and shape for my hands/wrists.Ten-key-less (TKL) design saves space on my desk, but preserves arrow keys that I use a LOT.Downsides:I'm not a fan of the cherry low profile switches. I wish this had regular travel switches. The white lettering on the keys is raised up. This feels weird on my fingers. Makes touch typing difficult because I can't distinguish the bumps on F and J if all the keys have bumps. Not backlit. I prefer backlit keyboards with shine-thru keycaps. I have read they are bringing out a backlit version in June or July.Keycaps have the texture of PBT, but they are not real PBT, I think they are ABS plastic.

1) I like that it does not have a number pad, these split keyboards become quite large when you include the number pad. This one fits in my keyboard tray just fine.2) it is very easy to type on, and quite satisfying3) I had some issues with the first keyboard, I had to unplug and replug for it to work, and sometimes only half of the keyboard would work. However, customer support was quick to send me a new one, which works just fine.

EDIT: The left side of the keyboard didn't actually fail. Rather there was some odd interaction between the keyboard and the software the encrypts my hard drive sprang up out of nowhere. When starting my computer after it has been shut down and before the operating system even starts to load I have to enter a pin number that along with the chip in my badge will unlock the hard drive. For reasons I don't understand this particular software and this keyboard after about a week of working together fine, just decided to not play nice with each other. As a result I had to use the laptop's own keyboard to enter the pin. However, once unlocked and the computer fully booted up this keyboard worked just fine, including typing in exactly the same pin number to log into my account. Still it was a hassle to open the lid of my laptop every time I needed to unlock my computer, so I did return it. However, this is entirely this keyboards fault and because other than one weird thing the keyboard worked great I am increasing my rating from 3 to 5 stars.ORIGINAL: I bought this to replace the latest of several Microsoft Sculpt ergonomic keyboards that I have owned. I love the ergonomics of the MS Sculpt, but the membrane keys just aren't very durable, so a Sculpt only last me a couple of years before keys start fail. Also the membrane keys lacked the nice travel and feedback of a mechanical keys. This keyboard seemed like an ideal replacement, even though I don't like wired keyboards. And it lived up to my hopes for it, at least while it still worked. The feedback of the mechanical keys are great and they take me back to the original Microsoft Natural keyboard that was my first ergonomic keyboard way back in 1995. I also really like that it comes in 60% tenkeyless layout like the Sculpt but with a better navigation section. I can't use full sized keyboards with a ten key section (even though having a ten key really helps my efficiency when entering a lot of numbers) because the additional width pushes my mouse too far to the right resulting in a very un-ergonomic position of my shoulder which causes impingement of the tendons in my shoulder. This results in my shoulder being quite painful by the late afternoon. Eventually constant irritation caused me to develop tendinitis. So everything was going great until after just a week the left hand portion of the keyboard simply stopped working. So I am having to send it back. It is only for this unreliability that am I giving this keyboard 3 stars. There being nothing wrong with ergonomics, value for the money or comfort, I am still giving it 5 stars in each of those categories. No manufacturing process is perfect and it could be that I just got unlucky to get one of the very few that failed early. So with all of the good features and Amazons easy return policy it probably is still worth giving this keyboard a try.
