Love this add on. My whole house is Philip hue lights. Been using their products for 3 years now. Absolutely love how easy and effective their technology is.

Technically they work but only through the Hue app. Doesn’t work through Homekit unless you delete all Hue products and start over. App is a baffling mess. Not up to the normally quality of Philips Hue products.

I misplaced the HomeKit codes for the Eve door sensors I had and this rendered them useless. I therefore decided to try Hue versions and the way these are installed is simple and no HomeKit code to worry about but still able to be added to HomeKit and provide full functionality.

The description says you can use this device to trigger alarms using the app. I thought that meant the sensor had a siren built into it. That’s not the case. The sensor does NOT have a siren. The Philips Hue security camera is the only accessory I am aware of with a siren. You can link the sensor to your camera which will trigger a siren when a door/window is opened.
