This Positive Battery Terminal Top Post Battery Connector worked perfectly. I have a 2017 Ford Expedition, and my SUV kept failing to start because of my battery post. I tightened the screw on my post and it broke. So, I purchased one from my local auto parts store, cut out my old post (because the factory ones are soldered on), and discovered after the fact that the factory cable was too short for the new post. So, I looked online and found this one, and it was super easy to install and works perfectly. I understand that the shop would have charged me upwards of $400.00.

Received this and it is missing a piece. We have been trying to get the piece and no one sells that piece alone. It is totally useless to us.

They look good, rust resistant, heavy duty and got some weight to them. all around good terminal connections. Will buy again when needed.

The bolts are not fixed into the terminal so when you undue the wing nut the bolts fall through. The terminal bolts seem a little small in diameter for attaching a big cable.

Product Reviewed: 1 Pair, Car Battery Terminal Connector, Battery Connector, Cable End for $9TL;DR; Die Cast brass with unusual finish; Solid construction with embedded fasteners.Normally I am a decent judge of materials. I took one look at these and though immediately they were brass plated/painted zinc die-cast which is not something I’d want on my battery. I have not come across die case brass battery fittings before. Typically, they are sand cast and partly machined but they clearly show injector pin marks on them. The finish on the connector was also suspicious it looked like plating. My conclusion after a lot of fiddling and grinding is that these are somehow polished after casting and that gives them this strange glossy finish.All the fasteners are self-contained by the casting so you only need one wrench to close them. The style I have is intended for a bare cable end buy my use case is for using the two clamp bolts as connectors for circle wire terminals (like washers with a crimp on one side).The fasteners are zinc plated steel for the ones I selected.All in all these are pretty nice connectors. 5 Stars only pleasant surprises?How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. I got this to install in a car that sits more that it's driven. This was simple to install and is easy to use.It DOES require 2 different size wrenches to install - you need a 12mm for the square head of the bolt, and a 1/2-inch for the locking nut. You need the 12mm because the square head of the bolt spins - it is not held by the "frame" of the disconnect. Once I got that figured out, it was a done deal.Once installed, simply tighten the black knob down securely and you're good to go. When putting the car, simply turn the black knob up (counter-clockwise) to disconnect the battery terminal. Now there's no drain on the battery and it will be good to go even months later (if it's a good battery - I have one of these on another car and fires right up after even 9 months).Recommended
