EDIT: I reached out because I wasn’t happy with the weird texture on the paper. The book was replaced in about 24 hours and every page is wonderful!! It’s great paper and takes pencil nicely. Updated to 5 stars from my original 2.(Pre-Replacement Review) This book had ONE good sheet and the rest have this weird texture at the top only. It’s on every page and I’m super not happy because this is decent paper. I might return the book, not sure yet. It was only $6 when I bought it so it’s not a huge waste and some pages are fine-ish.It takes pencil nicely, erases so-so, HATES erasing mechanical pencil. Be careful how often your hand touches the paper because you’ll smudge easily. Haven’t tested other mediums yet.Overall, the book is just meh… 🫤

I did a test page to see how a fountain pen feels on the paper.It's smooth and no bleed on the other side!I know this will be great for pens/pencils.For the price you get a HIGH QUALITY sketch book, I am very pleased with this product.

I love this sketchbook. I’m an artist who loves using graphite, charcoal and coloured pencil. Each medium works well on this 105 lb 160g/m square paper. I consider this a heavyweight paper but not for watercolour. The tooth I would say is fine. Given these features are my reasons for a 5star review. This sketchbook will be used for final projects not practise but if you prefer better quality supplies for all that you do give this paper a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I've bought a lot of Peter pauper Press items and have been thrilled with most of them and these sketchbooks are no exception. The paper is good quality and nice and white and the pages are easy to tear out without damaging, tearing or creasing the paper. The cardboard on the back in very firm and allows you to use these sketchbooks when you are on the go. The pad itself is a good size and the paper doesn't have that awful smell that some sketchbooks have when you first get them. Overall, I'm really happy with these for working in pencil and ink. Glad to have found them and at such a good price.

I was looking for some paper to make a gift for someone. So I took a chance on this one. I got the order on time (gotta love that prime!) but the corner of the pad was bent. It was shipped in a padded envelope with no extra cardboard to protect it. Thankfully the paper is think enough that I was able to straighten it out without lasting damage.It's good paper, has some tooth for those that like that, it's white paper. There's a double wire at the top (for us lefties ;)) and perforation to smoothly tear out any pages.I usually stick to pencil but I did sacrifice a page to try a marker on. I used a sharpie with minimal bleed through. Keep in mind that it's rated for dry media.Overall, this is a very nice pad to use, good size and heavy weight paper. Not sure if I'll use this yet for my particular project, but I'm sure it will come in handy at some point. I'd recommend this purchase of you're looking for a pad with fine tooth and heavy weight paper.
