It's lightweight, so very portable and it functions well. The speakers are of course, not the best sound quality, but at this price point, I didn't expect them to be. I bought it to play some of the CD's i held onto.

Amazon's description (as of September 28, 2024) indicates "Supported Standards mp3, CD". This does not mean that this boombox will play mp3 formatted CD's. Amazon should clarify this.

My neighbor asked me if I could purchase something like this for her (she is not an 'Online' person).I read the reviews of several different types, and this had the best reviews and the lease amount of complaints/issues.There was another almost the same and about 10$ cheaper but it would have taken up to two weeks to arrive. My neighbor wanted this sooner, and it came overnight!She is happy and I have been hearing all types of music coming from her Apartment. Toward the end of August and Christmas music fills our hallway.She loves the carry handle. She said is it much lighter than the one she is replacing and that she is totally thrilled and is very happy with this purchase.She highly recommends.

Won't play a CD without multiple skips on every track. The music is all jumbled, skipping etc. Worked fine for the first two months.This was a replacement for one I had before which lasted a little longer but ended up doing the same thing so I know it's the brand. Was thinking it was just a dud and I might be luckier with the next but apparently not.Cheap, CD component not for long-term, daily or heavy use. The radio works but the CD player is a bust.Going for a known brand name next time like Sony or something.Waste of money.
