I love them when I received them ! They are really thin, and really great to keep on one self. I got other kit that is bulky, and these are just great. I had some compatibility issue with other radio, as some channel didn't work, but I'm guessing it just a settings things, and maybe it the other radio that have the wrong standard settings... But anyway, I got it to work by changing them. Audio is clear, squelsh was fine for my need. And did I say it was thin ? Yes it thin :) So Thin, that I put it on my truck somewhere and I can't find it anymore ! I know it still there, but since it black and thin, it can get hard to reach.

An excellent budget set of walkie talkies. They're lightweight, easy to use, well built for their price, and that price is a fraction of what 'professional' walkie talkies cost. These ones have a good reception radius outdoors, and not too bad indoors, considering. All in all, definitely worth the money for casual users.

So far out of the box these work perfectly. Quick once over to gain the general feeling and functions of these radios was a breeze. I’ve had other two way radios that perform way less than these and cost a lot more. I have hystera radios for work and they work ok for the cost. The cost of these retevis radios far outweigh in size , weight, clarity, distance, the general bulk and size as well. The retevia are much thinner smaller and lighter and perform just as good as my commercial work radio’s. Now that being said battery life has not been out to the test. But knowing my son and wife who like to be in contact while I’m working on my truck or around the property, they’ll be lit to the test. We have terrible cell service at our place, which can be annoying. If these continue to perform as the well as the test, they’re worth every penny. So far the are clear and accurate without any squelch, squealing, fuzzy communication over these parameters.- through concrete slab average thickness 13”/18” slab bands, distance as far as I could go / 700-800 meters- dense forest/swamp brush/ some other large buildings blocking line of sight- moderate object in line of sight I made it 1700-1800 meters without any notable issues. Slight air fuzz but still 9/10 clarityThe range with obstruction so far is very very outperforming my anticipated performance.They seem solid and have rubber groms at ports. But I don’t think the build will take a several flight fall and still perform. Standing height/ running drop/bicycle fall off I can see being fully within range of durability.IPO for dust and water resistance seems lower than expected. Maybe best to jerk them as dry and concealed as possible for safety sake. But these are mostly for basic communication reasons, not rugged Alpinist or trekking use.So far if I get 8-10 hours of steady use (which will be unlikely for my application) I’ll be happy to give product 10/10. I’ll update if any negative reviews come about.

Really lightweight and great size. Battery life is nice and above all, the distance for connection is amazing. It gets a bit static thrrough walls but outside connection is solid even in a long distance. The sound quality is good, transfers messages clearly and quick connection. Can connect with other walkies as well so long you are on the same channel. Overall great!

This is a simple set of radios that is both capable of intermediate-advanced operation AND out of the box operation by someone who just wants radios that work.Audio is OK, form factor is super small and don't weight much, without feeling flimsy.Having the LCD is great as it allows you to program DSC/CTCSS somewhat easily.My main gripe with it is that you can't really seem to disable the voice on the devices, or at the very least it seems to be inconsistent. I'm not sure what's up with that, especially considering the manual that truly lacks in instructions.Still more than capable, for the price point.Great value!
