These radios are the best, simple to use long battery life and a really good range, I tested them and you can reach 2km apart easy possibly longer depending on what terrain your in, they are made to last and there very robust, I 100% recommend these

I work in security and have for 24 years, and I cannot state the location where I had done a test for them. I can say there were no issues related to the radios when I tested them in a large shopping Centre that is two levels high. The tests were done around the whole property and all hallways which are above and below, and they worked well through concrete walls. These will be used to keep in contact if separated from an event such as an earthquake and so on that was the reason for purchase. Reviews were spot on by another purchaser and I am glad to of purchased myself.

Bought these radios for work, and finally got around to using them, and they are absolute junk. They work great when you can see the person and aren't more than 20' away from each other. If you are more than that they crackle and you cant hear anything. No matter what channel they are on. Garbage. I was so pissed because we really needed them, and they failed big time. Do not reccomend.!!!!!!

These shipped fast, are sturdy and work better than we thought they would. WE tested the range locally and were impressed with the range. We have undulating land here and it doesn't receive on some dips but for the most part we were able to get around 3 km distance.I noticed that they do not work as well inside the car the farther away from each other you are. Way too much static but I got out of the car and it worked very well at quite a distance hundreds of homes and many hills. Interestingly if I had one hand on the car and tried to transmit it was garbled, if I released my hand it was okay. We are going to get some for our neighbourhood watch.

Everything is great about these except the main function... Range. The listing has no data on the range, just points out how great the quality is. I was hoping for a few kilometers as described in the video reviews posted but was barely able to get 1km. And this is outdoor camping distance. I'll keep them for the price... Guess we'll use them for car caravans.EDIT: Company reached out regarding the misleading "long range" and promised to correct. Updating to 4 Stars. Don't get me wrong, if you need approximately 1KM of coverage, these are awesome radios.

Rugged and great sound quality. My wife and I use these on our 22ac forested property and they work great. A lot of other walkies try to cram in features you don’t need/want. These are simple and do what they do very well.Another great benefit to these walkies is they support USB-C for charging. Most other walkies I’ve owned require a proprietary stand, or use an outdated micro-USB charge port, which would often mean not having a charged radio when I need them.

Very good 2 way. Long range. 5 watts makes that easy. I had contact with wife who was home I was on golf course 1 + mile away with 300+ homes between us. It works. On clear hwy 2 way used very far away.

Nice sturdy feeling radios.The software has all the frequencies locked out and a couple are backwards but that’s expected as it’s just a business band radio reprogrammed for FRS.It does include a place in their software to install a programming password so that’s kind of nice to keep others from change out your PL tones... but that’s basically all you can do. It did come with PL tones on all channels so that it will match only Retevis radios without programming. Meaning... other “FRS/GMRS” radios will hear you but you won’t hear them without the same privacy code.I bought these primarily for the battery life and to beat on. Antenna isn’t fixed, frequencies don’t match FRS channels 100%, can’t edit frequencies, 2-3w output on all channels, can’t find replacement batteries in google searches & pretty sure the USB C port will eventually fail & I can’t find a dock for it. Not my first choice of radio for the cost as I pair up with others regularly but I wanted to check Retevis out. Audio sounds more clear than a 888 or 88st but not as loud.Seems to be a good radio at a fair price. It’s not legal but at least it’s not on public service frequencies lol.

We bought them for simple use around our supply yard. They are working well so far. Got em because they said long battery life and they definitely have that. our guys keep forgetting to plug them in every night here and there and we still haven't had one run dead yet. I do wish the speaker was a tad louder but im the only one here my company that thinks that. They are also very tough, our new guy had one fly off a forklift and bang it up good. It has some gouges and scrapes but still works just fine. Good little radios

It's crazy I get an email today asking me to review these radios... Because just yesterday a friend of mine got his order and wanted to test them out. So, long story short... we were able to communicate a distance of 2.7 miles (distance measured by google maps). Which is outstanding being in the city (Center City and North Philly) Of course there were some drop outs and static in some spots, but overall they pretty much exceeded my expectations. Thing is... anything I would be using them for, I'd be no where near that far away from another user. But it's nice to know I have that range if needed. Trust me, this was money well spent.
