The sound is clear although I haven't been outside yet to test them for distance. I ordered these from the Company itself as the set I bought on Amazon was lost somehow. However, one radio only works up to channel 19, it does not operate on channels 20 to 22. Trying to contact someone about this problem is proving to be difficult. The radios themselves look well made, not too heavy, they can be charged in the charging base or individually by means of a USB C connector on the side of the radio. The radio that didn't work properly was thrown into the garbage.

Long lasting battery, nice features and can even listen to the weather, would be great for camping or working in building as managers, to keep track of staff.

I'm probably on a watchlist around here with how many different GMRS units I've purchased and returned. I was trying to replace some very solidly-built Motorola units from the good old days that have just about had enough. They don't build them like the used to! Since these are for the kids (pre-teens) to lug around outside, I have a pretty high bar for how durable they need to be, how unintrusive they are (the kids don't want to respond if the radio is irritating to use!), and how strong the signal is.These fit the bill. These ones are built rock solid. The second front PTT button makes them easier for the kids to use without taking the radio off their belt. The signal exactly matches my expectations: maybe 10 suburban blocks or around 1-1.5 KMs of bungalow-studded neighbourhood. The kids love them and I love them: win win. The USB dock also works well. The kids come in and drop the radios in the cradle and that's it -- I don't have to fuss about batteries.We also have (and love) the more capable Retevis UHF radios and I'm so glad to have these join the fleet. It feels weird to say, but I'm totally a Retevis advocate with neighbours and at the campground. Thanks!

Wasn’t sure about ordering these as you can never be sure of the quality until you have them in hand and in use. I’m quite happy to report these are robustly built and feel very solid in hand.The buttons and switches appear and feel to be of good quality. Voice and speaker quality is very good, no complaints there either.The belt clips on these are of better quality than our previous Motorola units. My only gripe is that these use a single mic jack, and not compatible with speak/listen extensions. (Certainly not the end of the world though)After a month or so of usage at work, we’re happy with everything about these, including battery life. We’ll see how well the batteries hold up over time.Highly recommended!

These radios are great—lightweight but super sturdy. My team uses them for trash chute cleaning in condos, and they’ve never let us down. Whether we’re in the basement, between floors, or up on the roof, the signal is always strong.The big button is a nice touch, making it easy to use while it’s clipped to a vest or belt. All-around solid radios for tough jobs.

I use these with my younger daughter to go to the park with her sister. The park is about 3/4 KM away. They work crystal clear. I can be fully in the house in the basement in a room, and they can be at the park and I can hear them perfectly. Privacy codes ensure I only ever hear my daughter and she only hears me.If you are looking for radios for road trips, hunting, fishing, kids, etc, these are 100% the radios you need. They are IP67 rated for dust and water. You can technically dunk these in water. Think of kids at the local pool or splash pad getting the radio wet; no more worries. They are RUGGED as hell. I’ve owned ALOT of personal use radios, and I’ve never come across radios this good before. They also have a CALL feature which plays a very loud annoying sound to get the persons attention (think, kid at park playing who only wants to hear the radio when there is a message for them). Stop looking around online, and buy these radios. I spent literally hours researching options. These radios are unmatched for quality, radio strength, battery life (is amazing btw) and durability. I am in no way affiliated with these guys, just giving an honest dad opinion for radios I literally trust with my daughters life. Happy buying, and I hope they work as well for you as they did for us! Also, I recently was at my daughter’s school, and they use the same brand of radios for use around the school. These guys are the diamond brand hiding amongst larger brands with more marketing money. These guys legit make amazing quality radios.
