Bought these for our church safety team to use. I found the earpiece to be a little quiet/low volume. The staff had already bought another set of earpieces for another brand of radios that they did not work in, but they work great in the Retevis and are louder for old deaf guys like myself LOL!

The radios feel as if they might last 2 years, maybe more.But they can go thru 2-3x 12" thick walls of reinforced concrete while I'm in my seacan metal office and I can still reach the people inside of both buildings.I haven't tested the range beyond 1km but if you need to outfit a crew of 20-30 guys with affordable radios these are perfect as Id rather them lose or damage one of these for 30$ than a good 150$ radio.

Have made repeat purchases as company grew and radios work great. Bought to replace same radio. Fork lifts show no mercy to running them over. lol. Great range for purpose.
