I bought this keyboard in used, like new condition. I wouldn't recommend doing that if you want all the accessories but fortunately customer service is amazing and went above and beyond to take care of my problem (I know, I sound like a fake review, but it's not if you can believe it).Other than that I love it. I'm not super particular about keyboards but this one is super pretty and feels solid, has nice backlight options and sounds good but isn't too loud (for me personally. Maybe in an office environment it would drive your cubicle neighbor crazy)Give it a try!

I am a fairly newbie when it comes to mechanical keyboards, my very first was an Epomaker TH80se. Which after trying, felt a little too small for my main computer, especially after I realized I do in fact use the number pad quite a bit. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a 2nd board, so I thought I'd give RK a try.Out of the box I didn't think the typing experience was as good as the Epomaker. Typing felt a bunch noisier, and overall the keyboard lacked the mythical "thock". I was on the edge of either thinking of returning it and buying something more expensive, or, try to use the RK96 as a starting point to actually mechanical keyboard modding. I mean, I'd only watched a zillion hipyo tech videos on Youtube.Well, as you can see form my photos, I decided on the latter.First I got a simple lube kit, and went through the process of lubbing every switch manually. Wow that took a while, but it did teach me how much was too little lube, and how much was wayyyy too much. After that I switched up the keycaps with a different cute bunny set (the stock RK keycaps felt very thin in comparison). I also did the tape mod on the space bar, which particularly felt hollow to type on. And finally, I got a few different switches in a sample pack, and put a few of them in place where I felt the stock yellow switches were a little too noisy or just somehow not satisfying. After all this, I would say the overall keyboard now has sufficient "thock", at least for my peasant ears.Another upside to the RK96 is the usb ports, this makes it super easy to stick in a USB drive or a joystick. I think that's a great addition to the keybaord. The only real downside I found with this whole package is with the RK software. It is a little rough. For example, key functions on the RK96 are programmable through "profiles" in the RK software. However, there is no hotkey way of swapping between the profiles. In comparison, to switch "layers" on Epomaker keyboards, you can do it purely by hitting a key combo. Another issue is with the volume control wheel. It doesn't always work. When it doesn't work, I have to hit the mute/unmute button, then the volume control works. Also, the mute/unmute key is NOT remappable through the RK software, and neither is the volume up/down wheel.Overall, I think the RK86 is a great value mechanical keyboard. It has enough strong aspects to enable you to get started with mechanical keyboards.

I've bought this after some research, and have overall been very happy with it.The colors are very vibrant, and the built-in effects are very nice. They can be customized via software to an extent, but I'll talk about that later. The default switches have a satisfying feel, overall a nice typing experience. They don't require a lot of force to push in, and trigger very fast, so it's great for gaming.Disassembly is user-friendly, easy component swaps with hot swap and cleaning. The package comes with a Keycap and Switch Puller, which is a neat addition. The keyboard is very sturdy, and doesn't feel too cheap, even with its plastic case. It has a nice weight to it, but isn't too heavy to take on travelling. The Extendable feet are stable and provide a comfortable typing angle. The sound is really nice for the price point. Not overly loud, would probably work in an office space, but does have a little bit of 'thock' to it.Cable Connectivity is great, but the 2.4G connection does have a noticeable bit of latency and occasionally drops letters when going through a desk. Bluetooth however is moderate at best, and takes a while to connect. I wouldn't recommend running this wirelessly when cables are an option. While looking very nice, the default keycaps are prone to visible fingerprints and glossiness and require regular cleaning.Ergonomically, the keyboard is questionable, the hand rest is definitely not the most comfortable, but I haven't had any real issues with typing for extended amounts of time. The software is functional, however...I've spent more than 15 minutes figuring out which software is the right one; The download page has been updated since then, though, and it does give you the right software on the first try now.The software works, but is far behind something like ICUE or similar. Defining macros is cumbersome, and the "Real Time Lighting" is very slow and doesn't really convey a smooth effect. I'd recommend sticking to the built-in ones. The keyboard also doesn't support SignalRGB, which is a bummer but not a dealbreaker. In summary, this keyboard stands out for its build quality, especially for the price. It's great for people who type a lot, and for the price is a great base board for enthusiasts who would like to customize it further.

I bought this keyboard because I wanted a compact but full-featured keyboard that could work with multiple devices wirelessly. I was not disappointed by the RK96. It has a sturdy build, a nice white design, and RGB backlighting. The keys are comfortable and responsive, and the volume roller is a nice touch. The keyboard comes with a magnetic wrist rest that is very ergonomic and easy to attach or detach. The best feature of this keyboard is the hot-swappable switches. You can easily change the switches to suit your preference without soldering. The keyboard comes with red switches, which are linear and quiet, but you can buy other types of switches from the same brand or other compatible brands. I swapped some of the switches with brown ones, which have a tactile bump, and I love the feel of them. The keyboard also has three modes of wireless connection: Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz dongle, and USB-C. You can switch between them with a simple key combination. The Bluetooth mode supports up to three devices, which you can pair with the FN+Q/W/E keys. The 2.4 GHz dongle mode is plug and play, and the USB-C mode is for charging or wired use. The battery life is decent, and the keyboard has a power-saving mode that turns off the backlight after a few minutes of inactivity. The only downside of this keyboard is the software. It is not very user-friendly or intuitive, and it has some bugs and glitches. The software is only for Windows, and you can only use it in wired mode. You can customize the backlight modes, the macros, and the key bindings, but the interface is not very clear or easy to use. I hope the manufacturer will improve the software in the future.Overall, I am very happy with this keyboard. It is a great value for the money, and it offers a lot of customization and flexibility. It is perfect for anyone who wants a compact but full-featured keyboard that can work with multiple devices wirelessly. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 96% keyboard.
