When we bought this, it was Marcia Ball's newest CD. It is certainly different than the other two we have. She is a good singer and performer, and her piano playing is awesome. I'd like to see her in person again.

I got to see Marcia live in my hometown, and to my surprise she had Mighty Mike with her. I had heard him before but knew right away it was him. But back to Marcia, she is a very dynamic performer. I love every song on this CD. I highly recommend it.

Marcia Ball kenne ich bereits seit vielen Jahren und besitze fast alle ihre veröffentlichen CDs. Roadside Attractions finde ich bestens gelungen und entspricht voll ihrem Stil und ihrer characteristischen Spielweise am Piano. Wer Louisiana Musik mag und gekonntes Pianospiel mag, dem kann diese CD nur empfohlen werden.

As I said in subject line: stunning. tunes have a wide variety of styles, each displaying penetrating musicianship and lyrics that will bring you from laughter to tears. I do not think it sufficiently acknowledged in the business that Ms Ball is note for note one of the most gifted pianists out there for her command of the elements of keyboard and for sheer affective presence. (I would not exclude the classical performers from that comparison). Get this album and see if I'm mistaken.
