I bought this to have something a bit longer and beefier between my flexible solar panel and my Pelletier effect camping cooler. The product came in quickly and well packaged. At first glance, everything looked perfect. The SAE connectors and the strain reliefs looked well done and resistant. The cable insulation looked smooth with good abrasion resistance.Things started to go south as soon as I popped the two zip ties holding the coil together. The black and red cables are not attached to each other!!! I spent the next 5 minutes untangling everything and thinking about what I could do to make this an actual extension that I could move around on the ground. I ended up putting rings of heat shrink insulation every 6 inches to hold the two wires together but it will never be as good as a real two wire in one extension ans it can still snag in rocks and branches. So unless you use this product for a permanent or semi-permanent installation, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Appears to be well made.

The whole coil weighs 2.3 pounds. For 10 AWG the copper alone should weigh 2.0 pounds at 25 (x2) feet. 0.3 pounds seems about right for the ends and casing. So I trust the 10 AWG claim. Both ends are the same (not reversed, as I might expect) however there is a polarity inverter included that will fix this.Casing is tough but still flexible. Ends are decently made and fit to each other very tightly. Wire comes with end-protectors attached and they fit on nice and snugly too to keep the ends corrosion free when not in use. Flexibility implies that the internal wire is braided not solid.

I have a trickle charger that I often use in the winter but the leads are short and have a proprietary connection. This was the perfect excuse to give it more functionality and make it easier to use. With a simple adapter, I was able to put a SAE connector in between the clamps and the output of the charger. The advantage of this is that I can keep the charger inside the workshop and have the leads extend out to whatever vehicle I'm charging instead of having the charger outside exposed to the elements. The wire is a little bit stiff when it's cold but not to the point where it feels fragile. The dimensions, wire gauge, and insulation rating is accurate. The one thing that I was surprised about was that the cords are separated, so when I opened it up it turned into spaghetti wiring. To keep things under control I just did a quick wrap of tape every couple of feet so it wouldn't get too out of hand.I like the cap on the ends to protect the connectors and the reverse polarity adapter. It claims a waterproof cap but it is definitely not. It really is just a dust cap and will resist some light rain. It didn't occur to me that I would need the adapter, but I did, so I was grateful that it was included in the set.In all, it was an easy and inexpensive solution. They're well made and a fair price based on what else is out there so I would definitely consider buying more in the future.
