I needed it to charge the Battery of the Buick Minivan (800Ah) and my truck Ford Ranger (850aH). After I bought it I read a review from one user that this charger does not charge a 800Ah battery so I was worried this won't charge my batteries. I tried to charge the Buick first without disconnecting the battery in STD mode, noticed after started with the initial the DFS, the Buick fight back, I guess the protection so when finish with the DFS, it shows that is charging and the next 1-2 mins show full. Not true, a multi-meter still show 2 DC volts. Put it in my Ford Ranger 96 without disconnecting the battery and after DFS voila started to charge, you will see that is charging because on the right side of the screen shows percentage and it is going down until reach the level of charge it is, my case less than 20 % so it stays there and now blinks going up, after leave it charging over night, boom, battery fully charge. Went back to the Buick, disconnected the POS of the battery and connected the charger, boom, over night battery full charged. Did what I bought for what I needed this charger to do. That was my experience with this charger. I can tell it works also for batteries above 800 ah.

Performance was way better than expected,Truck battery was completely dead, put the charger on repair mode overnight and it brought it back to full capacity.Great features and is very intelligent at determining battery state, temperature, capacity and other things, very smart.

This is the second one I've ordered, simply because I have a lot of batteries I need to keep charged here on the frozen tundra. No problems on any of the settings, no broken cables, though not even attempting to bend them when out in the cold greatly diminishes the chance of calamity in those situations. For the price they're tough to beat. Cheers!

Good things come in small packages, right?! This device is quite tiny, but it works like a champ. First order: re-charge the dead battery on my backup generator - outside, in the cold. No problem. Next: check & maintain the battery from my antique Buick. Again - no issues. The readout offers you info on what's going on and the degree of charge. Easy to use. Light and ready to work. Note: leads and AC cord are not long - use of decent extension cord not an issue.

Great little battery charger. Super light and cheaply made but sold cheap so no complains there. Used it once and it did the job as it should without exploding in my face or melting as some people reported here. This is NOT the most sophisticated and great quality unit on the market but it comes at literally at least 1/5 of a price of one. It does the job for charging a backup battery.

Another review from the **Long-Term Review Guy**I TYPICALLY don't review a product until I have been able to test or use it for at least a number of weeks or months. This allows me to test its' durability/reliability and also lets me see how enjoyable or comfortable it is over the long term. For this battery charger, I am making an exception after its exposed/non-insulated wiring caused an electrical arc between me and the charger, plus a brief fire in the engine bay of my Chevy.This is a review of the....10-Amp Car Battery Charger, 12V and 24V Smart Fully Automatic Battery Charger Maintainer Trickle Charger by NEXPEAK (a no-name "brand" that seemingly only sells on Amazon)~~~~~~~~1. I am retired now but worked as a mechanic for nearly 20 years. I bring this up to hopefully squash any folks out there who immediately are concluding that I didn't connect the charger properly.2. One thing I did not think I had to do was inspect the insulation of the wiring/cables coming out of the sides of charger before using it (I sure as heck will moving forward) but I assume the the cable connected to the charger clips had the same gap and lack of insulation/cable coating as the power cable coming out the other side. If so, those exposed wires were likely crossed and touching each other on the battery cable side and made for an explosive and painful experience when I tried charging the battery.~~~~~~~This is definitely one of the most warranted 1-star reviews out there right now because there WAS a huge spark show and small fire (my wife and neighbour can confirm) and I was mildly electrocuted in that I got a blister, brutal headache (which never happens) and walked away seeing stars which I was told by my doctor a few days later is NOT normal.Summary:1. Stay away from no-name "brands" that aren't even brands at all - just a generic charger made in a factory with a name stuck on the side and sold on one website.2. For a compact charger, I had a NOCO charger before that was great but I lost it or it was stolen (I simply cannot find it so assume I left it in the back of my truck by accident and....damn!). I have learned my lesson. Stick with names that have a good reputation and are actually a brand-name.3. Stay away from this one despite the positive reviews. I thought that maybe I had a lemon but upon closer examination, the components are cheap and it is a hazard in my opinion. Plus, some other reviewers have had similar experiences with their chargers arriving with non-secured cables.I hope this has been helpful.Stay safe.

PROS: Works well as a battery charger and maintainer. It is very easy to use - just one button does it all. You must read the instructions to know that, to use it as a trickle charger, it must be set to the motorbike setting. It worked well at -36C, still charging the battery whereas the NOCO battery maintainer froze up and would not charge the battery anymore, even with the battery heating blanket turned ON. Remembers the last state that was used to charge the battery, which is great. The battery charging level display is great. LCD display is easy to read and use. 10Amp charging is fast. Good value for the money.CONS: The charger feels cheaply made. Cheap plastic. Cheap 18 gauge wire cable that freeze stiff in seconds. The battery and the power cable are extremely short, so you'll have to mount it right next to the battery. It's rather thick in comparison to its length and width. Button is very sensitive to touch.SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Use better quality cables, something more pliable in extreme cold winters. Use 2x longer cables for the battery and power.

Al conectarlo se ha puesto en modo error y no deja camabiar a ningún otro modo de carga, es más, el botón mode como si no existiera. Y no es la primera vez que uso este tipo de cargadores. Totalmentre decepcionado y una pérdida de tiempo total. Lo he devuelto.
