Good, inexpensive charger/maintainer. I use it on my ‘03 Harley Davidson Road King to keep the AGM battery at the proper rate of charge between rides. Works great for my needs and I highly recommend it.

This is my second one of these units. My first one I bought many years ago is still working just fine. I just wanted another unit to charge more batteries elsewhere. I keep the first one on my Harley, and this one will be used to charge random 6v/12v batteries.

I use my pickup truck so infrequently it's nearly new battery lost it's charge. This charger will charge your battery up to full charge at low amperage, and then keep it charged fully with no attention required from you. You hook it up, observing the directions and safety suggestions provided, and you can forget it. It does not generate any heat which often shortens the life of any electrical appliance. Great buy compared to battery replacement caused by insufficient use.

I have 3 of these, and one older style. I use 2 in vehicles not used very often, I use one on my motorcycle battery over winter on a timer so it runs for 30min a day. And one in my truck with a weak battery, I have a new battery but at -20 or colder, I'm to lazy to swap it out so when parked over night or at work I use this to keep the battery good enough to start to drive. The bonus is it's totally automatic, plug in, turn on. Unlike some others where you need to hit a button to start charging, so this works reallllly well on timer.

I really love this battery maintainer. It is easy to set up with it's multiple connecting options and so easy to use: You plug it a power outlet near the battery you need to charge and let the maintainer do it's job! You can read the actual state of the battery/charging on the display at any time.Great buy!

I store a car that has a gel-type battery for 3 months every year. These are expensive batteries and if they go dead, so I'm told, the battery is destroyed, so keeping them charge is critical. The car manual says the car must be driven monthly to maintain it and after 6 weeks, the battery is "gone". This is a very affordable charger to maintain the battery. Setup is pretty easy - plug it in, then choose whether utility or full-size battery, then type - conventional, gel, etc. It does a voltage check, then goes into charge mode until "full", then maintain mode. The only problem I had was our power went out for a day - I received an outage/restart alert from my power company, that's how I knew. After the power came back on I had a friend check the charger since I was still out of town. Charger came back on and remembered or detected gel battery - probably the most important thing. But, the default was a utility-sized battery. I do not know if this setting could maintain the car battery, which is my next concern. My friend changed it back to the full-size setting, so all is well. But, I need to do more research to "trust" this charger for extended times if it's going to revert to the wrong battery size. The car seems to have a pretty significant draw when sitting there and never gets to maintain mode, so I just am not sure of the effectiveness of the utility setting on this car/battery.
