Followed instructions to the letter. Hooked up to my RV ( in storage) battery. Volt meter read 11.9 volts before hooking up. Went back 2 days later and battery was completely dead. Don’t know if this was unusual for this product, but I would not recommend it. Fortunately Amazon Prime return was quick & easy.UPDATE. Battery was just over 12 months old and is now useless after this “solar charger drained it. All attempts to revive the battery has failed and I am out $200 or so dollars for a replacement. I would definately advise anyone to look for a different manufacturer/seller

Nice little compact Solar panel.My Ford Expedition is a power hog when not in use and parked at my off the grid cabin up North.To keep the battery charged I need solar power. My vehicle 12v power outlets de-power after about 10 minutes engine off, so I had to re-wire one outlet to stay hot all the time (simple fused jumper in fuse box) to feed Solar power from on the dash board located panel. Having the panel wired directly to the battery is not a good option, as to cumbersome. Little panel works flawlessly and is permanently installed with suction feet on passenger side of dash.

I had a slow battery drain in my VW that was going to be very expensive to fix. If the car was driven daily it was no problem... in the winter... or if the car was left for a couple of weeks, then the battery was drained... not good for many reasons... This solar panel, sitting on the dash and plugged into the accessory socket has kept the battery topped up and happy for more than 8 months. It has been a problem solver for me. No fuss, worked as described. I particularly like that it has an indicator light that allows me to check its operational status just by looking through the car windshield... very intuitive... green good... orange not so good (not enough sun or not plugged in).

I got this panel because I have a very slow drain on my RV battery due to propane detector, USB ports, stereo display, etc.. After one half day in the sun the battery voltage increased from 12.56 to 12.65v, so it’s definitely charging the battery! I love the LED indicator! It lights up Red when in daylight, it actually lit up the moment I took it out of the box inside the house. The LED changes to green when connected to the battery and receiving enough light to charge the battery. It went green even without direct sunlight. The cord is plenty long enough for most applications. Most impressed by the solar panel efficiency and the very durable casing around the panel itself. Reminds me of a Otterbox case for your phone. If you want a panel to slowly charge your 12v battery or maintain it this one will do both.

Pour connaitre si le produit fonctionnera avec l'allume-cigarette. Faite un test avant de commander. Aller dans votre voiture et sans mettre de clef dans le contact, poussé votre allume-cigarette dans son socle, pour le faire chauffer. Attendre quelques secondes, puis vérifier s'il est chaud. Si l'allume-cigarette est resté froid, c'est qu'il n'y a pas de courant dans l'allume-cigarette lorsque la voiture n'est pas en marche. Alors ceci indique que le chargeur ne pourra pas fonctionner avec l'allume-cigarette. Vous aurez besoin des pinces pour le connecter à la batterie. Le vendeur Aothop m'a indiqué que le chargeur devrait être débranché lorsque la voiture est démarrée, afin d'éviter les courts-circuits. Démarreur à distance s'abstenir ;) Le service à la clientèle est génial. Je les remercie de leur support :))) Je mets beaucoup d'étoile parce que ce n'est pas le produit en soi, ni le fournisseur qui sont la cause de ce que j'explique dans mon commentaire.
