My car only gets used about once a week on average, and mainly for short trips (errands, etc.) and I have had issues with it having a weak start after sitting, as well as not starting after backing out of the garage, using a tire inflator plugged into the power socket for about two minutes total. The P20 pro smart battery charger works great, solving the weak start. I have not had a dead battery to try it on, but that's only because I now use this unit to maintain the charge. It has a long cord, so you won't likely ever require the use of a heavy-duty extension cord, however, the LED screen can be hard to read out in the daylight. In the dark or your garage, it's not an issue. The only thing I wish this had, and I don't know if any products of this type do, is a rechargeable battery inside so that you could keep it in your car and jumpstart your battery while out somewhere if needed. If you're in the market for this type of device, based on my experience, I have no reservations about recommending this one.

This small battery charger/tender works really well and is simple to use. All you need to do it plug it in, put the alligator clamps on and it auto-detects the battery and its charge level.Once it reaches 100% charged, it automatically shuts off. It worked great on my John Deere lawn tractor. The unit itself is very lightweight with a decently long power cord. I think the charging cables could be a little longer though, especially since the cord wrap area could accommodate more. A place to attach the end of the power cord would be handy while it is coiled for storage, but not the end of the world. There is only one complaint I have about this, and it is that the LED screen is really hard to see outdoors. Even on an overcast day, I need to shade the screen with my hand to see the numbers.
