It is a Scott's product so very used to that brand delivering a great result. We used it on some very dead patches of our lawn. After raking the patches we added the patch and repair about an 1/8" thick. Soaked it down every other day and the grass was growing very well.

Great product. The grass grows really fast ... I can see results in 5-7 days. Remember to water the seeds 2x a day.

We have hard clay soil growing over an old septic tank and a dog that digs holes all in one spot. I've never been able to get the grass reestablished in the bald spots in such tough conditions. I happened to be given a bag of this stuff from someones move. Man, am I soldon it! It contains peat moss and puffs up high on its own over the dry soil. Once watered soon the grass appears beautifully thick and green. So impressed so I ordered 2 more bags for next spring.in my photo, there are two new dog holes but in the middle, to the right a bit is a Ez seed patch. Even our dog seems to respect the new grass and leaves it!Update: Its now the middle of December here on Vancouver Island and the EZ seed patch is as green and flourishing as ever. The dog continues to dig outside of my repair. The grass is thick flourishing. So impressed....I cant wait til spring to put in more repairs!Update: It’s now mid January and -9 here and my ez seed patch is frozen but still bright green and the dog just doesn’t touch it. You can see the unseeded bare spots around it. Honestly this stuff is amazing! I have lots of new areas to try it next.

This was pretty good value (relative to even garden stores for the same product) for what may the simplest way to seed patchy spots in the lawn. Works really well (you do need to water, though) with a single product to lay down on existing soil.*Note: this is for refilling the shakeable EZ see spreader (or can be used in other spreaders if you have).Highly recommended for the lawn arsenal, although you will likely want to useother seeds, fertilizer, etc., if you are doing large areas.

I decided to buy this product only to run a little test. My lawn is a disaster, as you can see in the picture. I chose a little patch and dumped a very concentrated amount of the product there. Probably half a bag just on that little patch.Germination was not that fast as I read in some reviews. It took about 10 days for the seedlings in the picture, and about 10 more days for the lushy beautiful patch you can see in the picture.It's important for you to understand that I deed all wrong here: I was too late on the season, I didn't rake the area beforehand to remove the dead grass, I didn't fluff the soil, I didn't add premium soil...So you can really say this product works, and works really well.100% recommend it. If I had the money I'd just cover my my entire lawn with it and in 20 days I'd have my beautiful lawn back.
