This angle gauge works really well, as expected because it is a pretty simple design. It allows you to set specific angles that you need to replicate.The measurements are scribed onto the metal with a nice contrasting black text.The wooden handle has a bit of a rough finish, especially the edges that will result in splinters as it wears into the grain.The tightening dial is a wheel and has a a cross pattern in it for grip, but the wheel is narrow and can be a bit of an issue for the fat-fingered.I could get onboard with the idea of the narrow dial if it meant that the tool laid flat on its side, but it doesn't. It does on the opposite side, but not on the dial side. So if it won't sit flat, they may as well use a wider, better dial.

one of the brass caps on the handle was apart from the handle in the bag.it was only held on by glue. Some good ideas like measurements on the sliding arm and a dial to tighten instead of a lever to tighten so not as much in the way when using it that side down. those caps should be held on with a flush fit nut and bolt.

Well-made. Solid weight. Accurate. The ruler measurements are scribed into the metal, not painted on. The brass wheel tightens easily and stays tight. It looks and feels like it will last long enough to pass down to the next generation. Very pleased with this T gauge.
