BEST SERVICE! The cartridges were not working on my MAC/HP laptop and printer, at first. The fast, clear support was available to remedy the situation, and a new set was sent right away. To my surprise I received the cartridges even before I need to use the printer again! Thank you American friends for your great service.

Pricing was way more reasonable than HP OEM. When installed I had the incompatible ink cartridges error that HP uses to stop 3rd party ink suppliers but it was quickly addressed once I contacted (via chat) Smart Ink customer service. Quick firmware download from a supplied link, one click install and I was back in business! All good, recommended and thanks Smart Ink for offering a reasonable ink alternative and excellent customer service.

Purchased replacement ink that stated was compatible with my HP printer . Price was reasonable and Amazon prime delivery was free. Received the ink within two days. Ink cartridges installed and my printer displayed an HP compatible error. Contacted ink company at phone number provided on package. No hold tome and spoke to a real person. The issue as printer drivers and printer updates. The tech was knowledgeable about the issue and helped resolve the problem. The tech remained on the phone until the issue was resolved. The tech was professional, and courtesy. I will continue to purchase ink from this seller.

I purchased Smart Ink for my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 in May 2024 after receiving the dreaded “non-HP chip detected” error on another company’s cartridge. Smart Ink’s cartridges worked perfectly to fix the error. At that time I turned off automatic firmware updates on my printer like they suggest and had no issues for months.Fast forward to January 2025: the old error message returns and the printer stops working. I investigate only to find the printer’s automatic firmware updates got turned back on. I contacted Smart Ink’s customer support immediately. They advertise a 2 year guaranteed warranty on the ink cartridges beyond Amazon’s order return policy. Smart Ink quickly walked me through how to turn firmware updates off again and shipped me a free set of new cartridges in minutes. This level of customer service standing behind an amazing product earned them a customer for life!

I have been using Smart Ink in my HP printers for years which has saved me a ton of money compared to HP cartridges. The quality of printing is as good if not better than HP.I have only had one compatibility issue where my HP 6978 printer threw out a error code "no communication with cartridges". I called customer service which responded very quickly to my problem. They sent me a firmware file to download which brought me back to the previous version and in addition showed me how to turn off my printer updates so I won't have this issue in the future. Thanks Alyssa,Kevin and Alice for getting my printer up and running again.

Printer didn’t recognize cartridges but a quick call to support & they walked us through the process and it was quick! The cartridges then worked no problem! Excellent price!

works great and is compatible with my hp printer. the print quality is nice and I haven't had any issues with it.the price is great!when I ran into a little tech snag with installing the cartridge, the company customer service was great! I used the chat feature, they walked me through troubleshooting and solved the issue right away.highly recommend!!!

The product is good and the customer service is very good, once you find it. I couldn't find a link to Smart Ink Customer Service in the Amazon listing, but, you can go directly to the Smart Ink website and they are very responsive and helpful. Be prepared to have these cartridges rejected by your HP printer, as HP pushes out regular updates to block non-HP chip cartridges. In my situation, Smart Ink sent me a file to unzip and install on my printer, basically removing recent 'blocking' updates and installing a previous version of software to allow the Smart Ink cartridges to work. It takes about 15-20 minutes to go through this process, but eventually the non-HP cartridges work fine.

Firmware downgrade is mandatory for cartridges to be recognized and function.Initially only installed Magenta and Yellow cartridges as the original HP Black and Cyan were still OK.Once the HP original Cyan cartridge was depleted, I've replaced with the Smart Ink Cyan.Issues started, Cyan cartridge was show as a Magenta color.Ran an Alignment page, Cyan wasn't being recognized the alignment page print out was all magenta, black and grayscale (No Cyan/Blue).Reinstalled the firmware downgrade. No change.Restored printer factory default. Did an Alignment test page again. The Cyan cartridge was now showing as light purple and the printed color was light purple blueish. Printed a page which had Blue text and the blue colored text was light purple blue and pink.Bottom line, avoid this product and buy HP original cartridges or other proven 3rd party products.Not saving anything if cartridges can't be used.

This is a great product and the customer service was the best I have received in a VERY LONG TIME. They were able to resolve my issue which was my printers fault not the ink's fault. The printer company HP was TERRIBLE and without the help of Smart Ink I would have never fixed it. Definitely ordering from them from now on.

Its Great finding compatible ink that more affordable and ships faster than the name brand. Customer Service is quick, helpful, and resolved my issue in under 15 minutes. Cartridges fit perfectly in my HP Pro 6975. Ink cartridge works perfectly and there is no difference in print quality. I will buy this again.
