The quality of the build seems nice, and it's compact, wires are of significant gauge, but it only seems to want to charge some of the batteries I've hooked it to. Small batteries such as in my motorcycle it does fine. Some car batteries it seems to work, but I think when I've attached it to a nearly dead car battery it thinks it's smaller? Then reads full charge and does nothing. Great battery tender alternative, but not sure about actual charger

I had a "smart" charger that was pretty basic and wanted one that was a little "smarter" and got this one. It's definitely on another level the the one I had, but sadly wouldn't bring back my very dead 3 year old AGM battery. Once those things are very dead it's extremely hard to get them to take a charge any more. However it figured out the battery was just DOA right away. A great addition to my tool box.
