This is a standard pwm controller. You can pick these up almost anywhere and they get the job done although they're not entirely efficient. These will not be able to get the maximum out of your solar panels however if you're just looking for a small setup to charge a smaller battery without a lot of up front cost but this will do you well.I'm currently using this with a 50 watt panel to charge up a small 12 volt life4po battery. This controller can do multiple chemistries which is helpful.Be sure to read the instructions and hook this up to the battery first and I would recommend fuses on the inputs and the outputs

My only experience with solar power before this has been string lights and coop doors, but I have found this controller to be an asset when experimenting with a 100W solar panel.I’m able to see both the battery’s charge and any draw. Built in protection for over current and reverse current gives me the confidence to proceed as I learn without cooking anything too. The USB ports have been a big asset since I don’t have an inverter hooked up yet. I don’t find the controller all that intuitive, but it could also be due to my inexperience. Overall, this little controller is worth the money for the information it provides.
