The product plays good but does not play as long as advertised, on FM radio, it plays around 8 hours and not 35hours as shown in specifications. The 35 hours they mentioned is something I don’t understand. I only bought for the FM station while I go bicycling. I cannot download anything because I don’t have a computer which you require to download. Small and compact which is good.

Compared to the cheap models, this one works great. The cheap models clip songs and don't play some. This thing works great and is easy to use.

The instruction manual is very vague and I have spent over 2 hours trying to figure out how to drop and drag my itune songs onto this device. I am soooo frustrated and am thinking of returning the device. Without being able to put songs onto it, it is useless to me!! UPDATE: after searching forever, I finally found out that I had to download the sony PC music app onto my pc first, then import all my itune songs to that app, then I could drop and drag each song.....1 at a time...to the new device. Its an alright mp3 player, but just alright.

My Brother was begging me for an mp3 player; He doesn't need a cellphone yet, as he's only 13, so this was exactly what we were looking for. It's easy to use, just plug it in, open the location on your computer, and click & drag your music into the music folder. I got him some better earbuds, and he's been happily using his device for 3 months now.

After purchasing other MP3 players which weren't that great I purchased the Sony brand player. This player is easy to use and has a user friendly interface compared to others. It last for over 30 hours of operation which takes me through a week of playing. It's a little more costly than other players but worth the cost. The interface is easy to use and compact enough to slip in your pocket. I highly recommend it based on my experience with it and other MP3 players.

Maybe a 3.5. The controls are sometimes frustrating to use; the music quality is not superb. Also, sometimes music stops playing, and especially frustrating is that it easily turns on from a light touch (even if the lock is on), and if you don't notice, when you go to use it again the battery is dead. Still, overall a good player, and other than the above, it is still functioning well years later.

海外仕様の WALKMANです。Bluetooth機能もなく使い勝手は悪いです。逆にシンプルな構造で丈夫な感じです。

This is my third Sony Walkman MP3 Player and I can not for the life of me understand some of the changes they made. My problems are as follows:1. When trying to navigate your music, the up button now moves to the next set of songs starting with the next letter in the alphabet instead of moving up one song in the list.2. The back button does not take you back to the previous menu, instead it takes you to an entirely different menu where your music is listed by album. if you are like me and buy lots of singles online, then you are out of luck.3. holding the back button will eventually take you back to the main menu. this would be useful if that didn't mean if you ever select the wrong song, you need to go through all your songs again to find the right one.4. none of the instructions that come with the device tell you anything about how it actually works, the most useful diagram is one that tells you how to change the language settings, however it started in English and that is the only language i need.The overall experience of using this device has been upsetting and aggravating, if you want an MP3 player for a few songs and nothing more, then this device works fine. however if you want an MP3 player that can hold 5+ gigs of your music, then i suggest you look elsewhere.

This is my 4th sony Walkman, probably won't be the last.... I washed the first two with the laundry, and the third I dropped one too many times. Great quality, and the sync to any media player (not apple). This one operates a little different to earlier models (ie. volume control), but more consistent with other brands now.

A solid MP3 player for the price. I don't understand the negative reviews. Read the manual, and you've practically eliminated three-quarters of the complaints (imagine that). Also, you have to understand that flash drive memory doesn't play music back like a CD. You have to understand flash drive hierarchy assignments, which differ from CD assignments. As a result, you can add playlists to the player to order your music by using Sony software on your computer. The player cannot create playlists. Other than that, it plays the music back in alphabetical order, by folder, by artist, or genre. In sum, this player has good sound, it's built fairly strong, and the features are nice. I bought a USB wall charger plug to supplement computer charging. You can also use most cellphone USB wall plug units to charge this unit.
