These earphones are absolutely brilliant. I suffer really badly with claustrophobia and wearing headphones or in ear earphones triggers my claustrophobia. These earphones do not do that. They sit comfortably over the ear and around without covering the ear or stopping you from hearing your surroundings. They are really secure so I can happily complete tasks and go hiking without fearing I’ll lose them. The sound quality is surprisingly very good and can be adjusted using the soundcore app. I have not dealt with any distortion at higher sound levels either. The app allows you to program each earphone button exactly how you want it plus help you learn all about them. I use them almost all day, every day now. They are also handy if you suffer with noise triggers and anxiety in public. I now use them with low sound levels in public to help me with anxiety as I can still hear everything else around me and conversation but can focus on my music/sounds if I’m becoming anxious. My 60yo mum loved them after trying mine so that she bought a pair of her own within a few days. They’re easy to set up, connect really easily and are so versatile to use in so many settings.Only thing I would wish for is that they were available in other colours.

like the way the headset sits on the ear. good price. works well once the phone is connected. However now my big issue- it pairs with two phones but one has to disconnect the headset from one phone before it can be used by the other phone (Bluetooth off or disconnect needed) it is not picking up which phone is active at the time.Update 3/9/24after leaving my initial review the Anker customer support team contacted me, offering refund or replacement - which was a very pleasant surprise :-). The replacement product AeroFit offers the dual connection setup (for two phones) via the mobile phone app. For privacy reasons I have a work phone, and a private phone and the dual connection mode enable me to use the AeroFit earphones without switching/disconnecting in Bluetooth. Both the V30i and the AeroFit open ear earphones have great sound and battery life, charge fast and are comfortable to wear. For me the dual connection was the critical point and I'm very pleased with the Anker Soundcore team offering me the AeroFit earphones replacement option.CheersReinhard

I like to sleep wearing one ear-hook playing an audiobook. I am concerned about in-ear earbuds being bad for ear health so I want the hook type that has a speaker that goes over your ear. I need the battery to last at least 8 hours (ideally 10+) and this can be hard to find. Anker gave me everything I wanted and are a company I have previously had excellent customer service from. The hooks are the most comfortable I have ever used. Once I put it on, I don't notice it, and it never falls off. The battery life is excellent and when the battery life is running out, it plays soft, gentle chimes to let you know (if you've ever had the kind that yells "BATTERY LIFE IS LOW" you know how nice it is to never hear that again). The reason this isn't a five star is, the buttons are awkward. I usually end up disabling all button controls on my ear-hook so I don't bump them if I roll over in my sleep. I've had trouble getting these buttons to stay disabled (I set everything to "none" in the app and sometimes the buttons turn themselves back on) and even if they are disabled, they still beep when pressed, and it's distracting. I've had other ear-hook style where the buttons are better placed, and if they're disabled they really don't do anything. I'd give a 4.5 if I could though.Sound quality is pretty good all things considered. When battery life and comfort AND budget are a priority you're not going to get concert quality sound. That said, I've listened to classical and jazz pieces and it was fine. They're not tinny and the bass is decent. You get a lot of overall function for the price and you're buying from a company that gives great support. What the heck, I'm giving them 5 stars, I really like these guys, and these really are 5 star budget audio.

These headphones or earbuds are different than any other headphones I've used. They are neither in-ear earbuds nor are they bone conduction headphones, both of which styles I've used. These "rest" over your ears and are secured by ear loops.Positives:+ Surprisingly good sound, much better than my bone conduction headphones and even better than some of my in-ear earbuds;+ Ambient noise is still present, so I feel more secure walking, knowing I will likely hear traffic, but I don't think I'd ever bike with them (both because they do still interfere with ambient noise somewhat and the fit issue);+ App available to fine tune your buds;+ Great value. These are amazingly inexpensive for the quality you get;+ Amazing battery length with case. I usually walk with these for about an hour and then recharge them in the case. I've used them for over a month now and I have yet to charge the case!+ Lightweight. They're not heavy at all, nor is the case (although the case is a bit bulkier than most earbud cases).Negatives:- Fit is not perfect for me. They never really feel secure on my ears, and they've popped off a few times like earbuds, even with the ear loops. I also think I have relatively small ears, so that might be part of the problem. In contrast, my bone conduction headphones feel very secure with their loop behind the head;- I'm constantly readjusting them because of the fit issue, and when I do, there's a beep you get in the ear. Not loud. My fumbling sometimes also fast forwards to the next song. I understand why it beeps, but it's frustrating when you're regularly readjusting them.Despite the fit issue, I highly recommend these headphones/earbuds. Great value. Hopefully they fit better into your ears than my old, tiny ears!

Saludos.

Like many other commenters on this and comparable products, the starting point for me purchasing these lies in the fact that traditional earbuds cause me pain. However, in my case these headphones aren't the first pair of open-ears that I've owned, they're the fourth pair. I had not one but two pairs of Avantree Pebbles. The first was a pre-ordered pair that ended up dying after a few months. The second pair was a warranty replacement that died after a few months. To Avantree's credit, they refunded me after the second pair died. Then, I purchased a pair of Truefree 01s. Those I returned after two days because the battery life and phone call quality were terrible. Then I saw that Anker, which made a portable charger that I love, made Soundcore and that Soundcore made these. I scooped them up on a sale and am thrilled to find a number of things that have been wanting in previous headphones generally, including the open-ears I've mentioned. Here's a list:a) Like other open-ear headphones, these don't hurt my ear canals and they allow me to hear background noise while I'm moving around the house or walking/biking to work.b) The volume on these is *loud.* I listen at half volume while biking. I don't understand how some commenters are struggling to hear things with these on - their ears must work differently than mine or they received a fundamentally different product.c) As a non-audiophile, the sound quality on these seems great. Significantly more bass than my Jabra Elite 3s or Avantree Pebbles had.d) The touch controls are really well-designed. They are sensitive enough that I don't feel like I'm having to repeat touches but not so sensitive that I trigger them accidentally. Plus, the touch point is a raised ridge on top of another raised ridge, which makes it easy to feel whether you hit it, and they make a short, simple, non-obtrusive tone to let you know when a touch is registered. Then, the cherry on top is that the branded app you can download allows you to customize what each touch does *for each ear,* so you can really configure things how you want. I've never had that in any pair of headphones.e) As other commenters have noted, the phone call quality is astonishingly good. I have long wanted to find a pair of headphones that I could use while biking home from work, but having tried so many headphones and bluetooth headsets I had accepted that unless I was going to drop a lot more money than I could justify, the best I could get was an acceptable call quality while walking, as long as the wind wasn't too strong. Much to my surprise, I tested these out last night by calling my wife while biking home *and she could hear me the whole time.* Not once did she ask me to repeat myself, even when I was biking on gravel.f) The case is less bulky than other open-ear headphones. It's still bigger than in-ear headphone cases, but this is small enough that I can comfortably keep it in my pocket while I'm wandering around the house. I probably wouldn't want to do that while going about my work day but it also fits in my shoulder bag (and backpack, obviously) no problem. This is noteworthy because with previous open-ears I felt the need to leave the case at home because it was so bulky. The Avantree Pebbles worked well enough by turning them off and pocketing them. The Truefree 01s didn't do well with that at all - they kept turning back on and auto playing in my pocket. I haven't experimented with pocketing these yet because I haven't felt the need, thanks to the relatively slim case. For all these reasons, I am thrilled that I decided to pick these up. Obviously the one question I can't answer this shortly in is how long they will last. Here's hoping they hold up, because I can't imagine finding a better pair of headphones for me, especially such affordable ones!
