Works well. Decent build quality - better than generic ones from an express site.

WOW! I did not expect something this cheap to perform on-par with a $250 Sound Card. This was a first for me. I don't normally buy foreign products like this (Foreign being me never seeing something like it before). It was shipped in an acceptable state and came FAST!I played plenty with it trying to figure out why my PC was not recognizing it. turns out I had the cables Flipped. On my ASUS B550-E Board, the SPDIF header has a 5V on the header, so I did not have to connect it to a USB 5V+ Pin. I also did not notice I had my GRND/SPDIF cable backwards.Once I position my GRND to the outside, SPDIF in the middle and the 5V on the outside (As per my B550-E Manual) the Sound came thru my Soundbar! I laughed. It was so simple, but I neglected my Manual.RTFM! Seriously! All I had to do was rotate my cable placement for it to work and if you are having issues, that is something you should try!Thank you for such a wonderful product. 5.1 never sounded so good.

Check if your mobo has an SPDIF Out. If yes, buy it and get that amazing digital sound for 25$.No need to spend hundreds of dollars on a sound card anymore.

Soldered lead to SPDIF output from an ASUS Tinker board S for optical and coaxial audio out. Other leads to 5V and Ground on GPIO pins.

While most motherboards don't have an SPDIF optical output on the backpanel unless you but a $200-300 model, they do have a header on the board internally for one. I purchased a better speaker set for my PC and wanted to use optical to get the best sound, this adapter worked great for my Asus PRIME Z490M-PLUS motherboard both on Window 10 and now upgraded to 11.

Not just a drop in on my Megabyte MB, but not too hard to figure out. Mine has a 2 pin spdif header so I had to draw 5v from an unused usb header. I had to find the pin out diagram to do this in my MB manual. Works fine.

Easy install on a Gigabyte Z97-HD3 motherboard with no optical out. Plugged in to the 2 pins as indicated in the mb manual and the 3rd wire to the +5v pin on an unused USB header. Works like a charm
