Would not fit together when I received it as one of the pegs was to big to fit the slot on either leg while the other leg slid easily on and off either peg. Eventually was able to get one of the legs part way on and then it was just stuck. When I tried pulling it back off to try something else the peg itself came free. It seems the item was packed and shipped without ever being tested to ensure it fit together. I was able to force the peg back in and hammer the leg the rest of the way onto it but once assembled it was clear the legs were backward. There were no instructions in the box or any info on assembly. Really disappointed as the stool looks great but would not recommend purchasing this product online as other reviews indicate people have had these issues for years.

This bench is comfortable and ergonomic- hips are at the proper position, and supports proper posture. Great for sitting low to the ground to interact with my grandchild, in addition to meditating.It’s quite sturdy, but a bit difficult to disassemble for constant travel. May need a little wax.Very happy with this bench.

I think this little bench is quite comfortable, and is pretty good quality, but the reason I gave 3 stars instead of 5, is for the size of this bench, and even if it is good quality, the price tag is a little too high. It's three little pieces of wood and costs approximately 150 dollars Canadian. I know this meditation bench is a niche market, but the price tag is a bit too high. After I purchased this one, I found other meditation benches for a fraction of the cost. I can't speak for the quality of those benches, but often, people look at the price tag first. I feel this bench shouldn't be priced above 99 dollars.

I use this for prayer meditation. I have a bulging disc that makes sitting and kneeling very challenging. I can use this for an hour or more very comfortable for most of it and only mild discomfort towards the end. Keep in mind when sitting in a chair my leg will go numb within an hour and within 5 min if kneeling. I am short 5’2” and I use a small meditation pad in front of my knees for perfect comfort. I do not know if I would need to do that if my back was not a concern.******year later update******.So I have been using this for a year now and have grown quite attached to it. It’s great. Only minor complaint is one leg slips out a little too easily. My back has been better for almost two months now and I do not need that pad i used to use in front of my knees. It’s a beautiful chair I almost want another for around the cause house I find it so comfortable to use. I still only use it as a prayer/ meditation bench in my studio.

Very comfortable and well made bench. I no longer suffer from lower back pain after meditating for 20+ minutes. My knees get a little sore but I’m still experimenting on the cushion to use. I’m 5’8” and it’s the perfect height. Love that it’s lightweight and the legs pull off for travel.

I checked with Jerome at Spoko to make sure this was authentic, because it was offered on Amazon at $25 less than usual. He confirmed that this was a great deal. I meditate every day, and this bench is ergonomically designed for sitting in the kneeling position. You can also sit cross-legged on it.I put my zabuton (the flat mat that the zafu which is the round cushion) in front of the bench, and VOILA! My knees don't hurt. My hips don't hurt. My back doesn't hurt. I can sit for as long as I want.The legs are removable, and there's a lovely human touch where someone has written numbers to help you know where to insert each support leg. It's portable!The quality is fantastic, and if you're looking for an alternate or new way to sit, this bench is a great investment.

It does everything it says by design. It’s beautiful! I’m 5’2” with a bigger butt and bad knees, I am still able to find three different ways of comfortablilty using this portable bench for meditation. I’ve used it three times for 20 mins each. I can’t wait to get it outside! I was weary of buying it based on other people talking about bad knees, but once I played around I was able to find different positions! My knees do have some tightness and soreness when placing under the bench, it took a bit to find the sweet spot, but once I did it’s wonderful. And I am able to slide my knees out while staying seated and put my feet together in front of me and I feel the same support as if they are under the bench. Also, because I am short, just sitting on the bench with my feet in front on the ground and knees up, it’s a great way to get a lower squat in, but it’s completely comfortable. I love this bench. I will take it everywhere! It’s well made and very sturdy, just beautiful! I’ll upload pics when I can get outside with it! Can’t wait!

I am 5'5" and I thought I needed a chair that I could sit with crossed legs. This one was a little awkward for that but I discovered that I LOVE sitting in the kneeling position in this chair. The curved top is very comfortable and the height fits my knee length perfectly. The legs are sturdy but they can be pulled off for packing if necessary. It is a very simple chair that takes up very little space.

The chair is absolutely wonderful, and it feels super great to sit on it. It is so large that my ass doesn't even take up the whole chair and I am a 240 pound man. Having said all that why am I giving this chair a 3 star review? This chair is completely immobile. You absolutely can not lift or move this chair without legs falling off of it. It is quite a frustrating to always have the legs fall apart on me. Still haven't figured out a way to move the chair that is hassle free, but for now as long as I sit on it I can not complain. For such a pricetag I would have expected a better experience however. Do yourself a favor and choose something else if you want to get meditation chair.EDIT: The SPOKO team has contacted me and the issue has been resolved :) I am now very happy and content with my chair

Meditation has been part of my life for a few years now. I have tried a variety of different pillows, cushions, stools and meditation benches which did improve my practice, however there was always something that bothered me, gave me aches and took my focus away.I have been hearing great things about the SPOKO meditation bench so I decided to give it a try.The delivery came in faster than expected. It was well packaged and came with a very well made instruction sheet and a link to a video instruction on how to assemble it and use it. I really like the fact that you can disassemble it quickly and easily for travel. The product looks well made and very solid, it is also a great addition to my living space.I have been using it for only a few days now, and I am very impressed. In kneeling position, I feel my spine and lower back is completely released from any pressure. I don't feel any pressure on the knees either.It is extremely comfortable and well made. I am very pleased and I highly recommend it. Namaste.

When I first bought the bench, I was worried about the initial connection piece as it seemed a rather flimsy peg. Lo and behold, after about two weeks the peg ended up breaking. Although I was initially quite upset as the bench is expensive, I was met with amazing customer service. Jerome (one of the owners of SPOKO to my understanding) was very kind and understanding. He told me that they were redesigning their bench to have a sturdier connection and he then shipped the new bench to me as soon as it was available.The new bench is very sturdy and seems like it will last a long time. It is very comfortable, and helps a lot for sitting meditation. I am very happy with the purchase!

The seller was great. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. The bench is super-comfortable, which I need for my lower-back troubles.So, why 4 stars and not 5? It wasn't easy to put the legs on, so I will likely leave them on ... and that makes it somewhat less mobile.There are two points at which each leg must be connected to the seat. One is a wood "peg" that comes out of the bottom of the seat, to be inserted into the corresponding hole located at the top of each leg. This part wasn't smooth. In fact, I had to really work to take it apart and try again because it wouldn't go all the way in the first time.The other point is a screw that, once inserted into it's corresponding socket on the leg must then be tightened with an allen key to complete the connection.It's all in and it feels really solid, but just a heads up on the "mobility" factor. If they can improve on the leg assembly, this will be the perfect meditation bench for home and travel. For now, it's perfect for home.
