First off, as secure holders for your horns they’re great. The lack of instructions is lousy given the importance of what these are charged to do. I tried mounting in both brick and dry wall and had to use my own anchors and it took several attempts. The plate mounted firmly to the wall but the cap on top (which is connected to the actual stand) resulted in a loose fit that I would not feel comfortable putting my horn on. In the end, with better anchors, I mounted the plate into the wall, then mounted the cap all the way through the plate and into the wall as well. That did the trick and they’re completely tight and working well. So yeah, they do the trick but be prepared to improvise (pun intended) to get the fit appropriately secure.
