I bought this item to carry garden weeds, etc., to the garden waste container, which is quite a ways away and up some steep cement steps. I've tried the usual/official 'gardening' solutions including: pails, baskets, carriers, bins etc., and they never lasted long against a pile of blackberry vines, etc. (and wheelbarrows are too unstable/unwieldy on the steps for me to handle!) This wood 'sling' is absolutely perfect for me .. it is light and easy to carry. Very happy with this product.

I actually bought this to help me with carrying my elderly dog up and down the stairs with one hand, allowing me to still hang onto the railing with my other hand, now that my dog can no longer do stairs herself. I searched a long time and was happy when I finally found this because it’s actually long enough for her and comes up on the ends a bit to ensure she won’t slide out. I can see where it would work well for carrying wood and many other things. It seems sturdy and strong.

This was inexpensive. I was worried it may be cheap. It is not as nice as some of the fancy waxed canvas bags, but it is a highly function sturdy bag.The extra length and covered ends keep the messy stuff in the bag vs on your floor.

We use wood to heat all winter - about four face cords per season. We use a firewood carrier to fill up our "indoor" wood rack from our outdoor woodshed - so, once every week or so, I'm hauling in a bunch of wood. This carrier is perfectly fine, I like that it has "ends" so that droppings don't end up all over the house. It's not probably going to last forever, because it's relatively lightweight, but I'm sure we'll get a couple of years out of it. The only real problem is that the straps are just a few inches too short, so it doesn't quite hold as much wood as I would like. I always want to put one or two more pieces in, but then I can't grab the straps. So, it means that takes maybe one or two more trips to the woodshed to fill up the indoor wood rack. Not the end of the world, but it would be great if the straps were just that little bit longer...

This item is tough and makes bringing firewood into the house or onto the deck so much easier. I'm a senior and without this can only manage a couple pieces at a time, needing one hand to open the door and/or move the the wood onto the stack by my woodstove. With this I can still roll a full wheelbarrow up to my steps, then fill this up from the barrow and carry that load in, saving a lot of time and preventing a lot of mess. The reasons I only gave 4 stars are related to carrying a load all the way from the woodshed - due to the14" length of woodstove firewood, rather than the more standard 16", if not place perfectly, the wood tends to shift to one end, pulling on my arms and requiring a couple readjustments on route, and I think an additional strap to go across shoulders would help on a longer walk. I am very glad I bought this though.

I did not buy this to carry firewood, have several of them, one used for firewood and the others are used and perfect for carrying our slightly disabled Chihuahua over the hot sand at the beach and up steep stairs, they also hold lots of wood if that is why you would buy it.

For the price, it’s well worth the money. Wish the handle was a little sturdier, but again, for what you pay. It’s worth it.

This is a nice, inexpensive carrier! It has a solid bottom which keeps the bark and dirt from falling all over the house. It is large enough for 4-8 pieces of wood depending on the size. It is perfect for transporting small amounts of wood from the basement to the upstairs.It seems very strong an sturdy. Time will tell how it holds up. I have bought a second one so the wife can have some "fun" too!
