The product itself is nice and good quality when I first received it. It worked as intended and it's still a good product. However after about 3 years or so of use, the right button click started to kind of wear and get a little lose. Just resting my hand on it and I can feel like a second click. It's not secure and snug like when I first ordered it. I eventually just replaced it with a different model of the same lineup/brand. I did expect a little more use out of it for the price but overall still a decent mouse.

So I swapped to this from a logitech g502 x lightspeed wireless mouse. The main reason was the weight difference, 40 grams might not sound like a lot but it feels like your not even holding a mouse when you move it around. They advertise up to 180 hours battery life, while the logitech says 140h, the logitech lasts longer I'd charge my g502 like once a week where this Aerox 5 wireless is like every 2 days (it charges extremely fast though). I don't notice any difference in accuracy or smoothness. One thing to note is I've had a few glitches where the mouse wouldn't wake up from sleep and I had to flick the switch off and on to get my mouse cursor to move again, not the biggest issue but annoying nontheless something that has never happened to me with my g502.So far I'm liking the mouse ut only time will tell if i continue to feel the same.

Been using their Sensei mice for almost a decade now and its awesome. But this... this is just not it.Pros:Uses hard plastic for 90% of the mouse, only rubber is the mouse wheel. So no plastic to melt and become gunky. With the mesh top, it is great for sweaty hand players.Side button placement good, does not get in way of resting thumb, but still easy to press. (Not for smaller hands however)Wireless performance good!Cons:Mouse click buttons VERY stiff. Requiring significant force to press down, more force than button on a mechanical keyboard.Mouse button VERY loud as a result, never heard a louder mice before. If you use voice comms, your teammates will hate you. (+open mesh, that makes click even louder)2.5Ghz Connection constantly disconnects after mouse sleeps, requiring turning the mouse on and off.Mouse is front heavy, not balanced in the middle unlike most other mice.Repair/Cleaning UNFRIENDLY. Designed in a way that does not want you to open, check YT vids of opening/cleaning process. Purposefully designed this way to make you buy new mice.Mouse macro program frequently crashes!Mousewheel jitter a frequent reported problem. If you a frequent scroller this mouse WILL fail you.Overview:If you plan to use this mouse for only an year or so, and do actually enjoy loud/stiff button, then this is a good mouse for you.Otherwise, very disappointing product.

- the mouse depends on an app. that needs to be ran on startup- the app requires sign up and is a combination of 4 or more mini apps including audio related apps that you can choose to disable but will have to remain installed- when you start your computer the mouse will begin cycling through full brightness rainbow colours as its default setting before your custom profile is launched. mouse doesn't retain its settings on actual mouse- the mouse has a ton of settings which is nice. then doesn't allow for sub 100 increment whole numbers when choosing your DPi. I found 1700 slightly too slow. then 1800 a bit fast with no middle ground. but then you can adjust the acceleration and slow down to dial it in. just takes a little more time- the 5 side buttons are great with all the options to set them as anything you would need. although one of the buttons is ergonomically a bit awkward being a paddle button that activates with an upwards click and will literally have you lifting the mouse from the table to use itall in all a decent mouse. worth the price having bought it in the xmas discount period

Birthday gift for young teen, who wanted a lightweight responsive wired mouse for casual gaming. Plus customisable lights.I've used it too, and it feels great for my large hands and no sweaty palms due to the holes all across the mouse upper surface. It is very light even with the cord - which plugs in to the front of the mouse (usb-c), so if the cord fails at either end your mouse lives - what a great product !The tactile feedback from buttons & wheel (not too clicky or noisy) and response time is fantastic. Customising software to program buttons and lights is intuitive and links with other Ss products. And i got a bargain bc of a damaged / opened box - but no problems with the mouse itself.Steelseries delivers again.

Update: After 3 months the scroll wheel is messed up. It registers extra scrolling which has become infuriatingly annoying, especially in gaming. Now I'm looking at either RMAing the Mouse OR replacing it entirely. Really regret this purchase now. I could have went with a Corsair mouse and saved money...Original review:For an almost $200 mouse I expected better. After getting this and a Steel Series Wireless Keyboard. I'm left wondering what's wrong with it. After my Keyboard started having issues, my mouse started to get weird too. It's started regularly disconnecting and reconnecting with the PC and sometimes becomes unresponsive, causing me to reset the dongle for it. Whether I use Bluetooth, the 2.4 GHz setting OR wired mode, it does the exact same thing.Sometimes it disconnects and reconnects on it's own, other times it becomes unresponsive, other times I have to reset the dongle for it to work right. I thought it was causing interference with my keyboard as another reviewer mentioned, or a bad dongle or cable, that is until I put it in wired mode and got the exact same thing! The only things left that I can try are swapping the dongles around to another USB port as I have to use the extenders to go from USB C to USB as I don't have any USB type C ports on my motherboard , OR to uninstall the Steel Series GG Client which would make my headset useless and mess up the RGB AND my Mouse's DPI and other settings. It's a real shame because if not for the sudden connectivity issues I listed, the mouseis awesome. It's very Lightweight and when it's not plugged in, is moves super fast while combined with my high DPI makes me aim faster and just feel better lightweight. The battery life also isn't that bad, lasting about 7 days depending on usage/ how long I'm gaming for, which was more than I had expected. It actually last longer than my Keyboard's battery life even though I use my mouse moreIt's a shame that it's taken the mouse a month to get like this, otherwise I would have returned it by now or gotten a replacement, but since I already sold my old Keyboard and mouse, I'm stuck with this. I got this mouse so so could lean back in bed and play games like Destiny but now I can't.I will try further troubleshooting and HOPE that fixes the problem, but other than repositioning the dongles, trying another port or uninstalling the engine/ uninstalling and reinstalling the engine and just leaving the mouse and keyboard on my Bluetooth dongle that I use for my phone and controllers. Hopefully that fixes it otherwise I may have to a back to a wired mouse.
