Even after the Chroma V2 the ultimate V1 is still the best controller on the market right now, great features, amazing joysticks that last a very long time, among an excellent shape and great grips, extra bumpers and decent padel buttons on the back make this an amazing controller! This is the second one I have bought, I got tons of use of of the first one I bought like almost 2 years ago. I only bought another since eventually one of the bumpers started to double tap when it was only pressed once but again that was after a very long time of hard use. This controller just makes whatever your playing feel just that much better!

Any disappointments I've had with the Razer Wolverine Ultimate controller have been slated to personal preferences & thus have little to no effect on my rating overall.I bought this when it was on sale for like 35% off, and it was retail $220+, and I'd still advise picking it up when it's on sale I'd you can, but as far as upper-scale controllers go, it's almost worth that retail price. The mechanical feel & response of the buttons is amazing to me, and I love that it has the chat & volume controls too (wish I could adjust mic sensitivity though). It's not too heavy, but still durable & the cords a decent length as well as braided (so nice and strong). The extra buttons have proven useful only in specific situations, but I like the placement & don't find them getting in the way, however, I'd like it way better if I could map multiple inputs into said buttons on Xbox (like have one of the extra shoulder buttons be mapped to X + A, for example)Overall, I have been impressed by Razer before, and this is no exception (aside from it's initial retail price, which I believe has dropped to around $188cdn currently, which is quite a bit better than it was). Pick this up if you're worried about taking the plunge for the Elite V2 & want to save some cheddar on something a little more on the premium side. It's a great PC controller too!

Overall a great pro level unit! This controller is slightly larger than the standard Xbox Controller so for someone with large hands like me it feels great. The two mappable shoulder buttons have a great tactile click like a mouse and are easy to reach. The two mappable paddles on the back are a little weirdly placed near the middle but you’ll quickly get used to it. Great for FPS for remapping reloads, slides, jumps, etc without having to take your thumbs off the thumb sticks. The face buttons also have a great tactile click like a mouse. The grip pads are also great. Also ... no stick drift! The RGB lighting is great but I feel like Razer could be more upfront that the Wolverine will not work with Razer Synapse and won’t sync with your other Razer PC Peripherals. A minor complaint though. My only real issue is with the trigger locks. More than once during gameplay I’ve had the trigger lock ‘come undone’ I don’t know how else to explain it other than it feels like the lock has come undone and you suddenly need to depress the trigger the entire way. It doesn’t happen often, and you can reset the trigger locks very quickly but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t cost me a few games. All in all this is the best pro level unit i have used and would recommend it over Scuf and the Elite any day.

Worst service by Amazon and Razer both ..each directed me to the other for solution when controller started malfunctioning in just few months and still under warranty ... hell to them for this behaviour . Ps : should never spend so much amount for this short life product and poor services by both.

I have owned a SCUF One, the Microsoft Elite Contoller, and now the Razer Wolverine Ultimate and I can honestly say this has become my favorite controller.I cannot speak bad about the SCUF other than the fact my paddles kept breaking and I had to replace them often. It wasn’t major, but it was annoying. Even still, the SCUF ranks better than the Elite being that I had it for over 2 years with HEAVY use (Destiny, Halo 5) and the only issue was the paddles breaking over time. The reason I upgraded to the Elite is because I wanted to move from 2 paddles to 4. The Elite fit the bill, and I did not have to wait for my controller to be made, I was able to hit a local GameStop and pick one up that day.Initially I was excited, but I’ve had pretty much every known problem with my Elite. My left bumper broke (search for elite bumper repair kit—-its so common that multiple sellers have repair kits for the bumpers!), my sticks became very loose (inexcusable considering I had the SCUF more than twice as long and never experienced that issue), and the grip panels on the controller began to peel—so annoying that I finally just removed them altogether. I bought the controller in april of 2017 and while it was still usable when I purchased the Razer in Jan ‘18, I would NOT say the quality was at all worth the price tag. The SCUF FAR surpassed the Elite in this category. Now for the Wolverine Ultimate. So far I can tell you that this is my favorite controller. I can’t speak for the durability or quality over time yet, but the controller FEELS like it’s actually going to last. I will update my review at different intervals and update on this. The buttons are super responsive (light touches to the ABXY buttons will active them), and they feel more like a mouse click than the squishy feeling you get from the regular Xbox controllers (Elite and even SCUF included being that it uses the body of a regular one controller)The hair triggers work as well or better than the offering on the Elite, and I do prefer them over the Hair Trigger Lock system my SCUF One used. I’m not sure if Scuf has made improvements in this area with their newer controller (Infinity?) but even the Elite controller was preferable to what was on my Scuf. The Wolverine pretty much exactly the way the Elite does, and it does decrease the trigger travel a great deal.NOTE: I did NOT have issues with the hair triggers being a problem like I did with my Scuf and even elite (I had to calibrate the triggers being in hair trigger mode using the software on Xbox). So far I have played PUBG and Halo 5. Some games need the trigger to travel more than some hair trigger systems allow to register (thus it needing to be calibrated for the Elite—no option for this on the SCUF OR Wolverine). Once again, though, I have had no issue with the Wolverine not registering on a game yet.The top paddles I thought would be an adjustment—but other than retraining my brain, they are very easy and “natural” to use. The bottom 4 are excellently placed and are quite easy to access using your middle and ring ringers, eliminating the need for your fingers to ever leave the sticks. I have opted to use the default buttton mapping (X and Y On left and right top paddles, A and B on the first 2 of 4 bottom paddles, and the using the bottom left paddle for FOCUS And the bottom right for AGILE).I’m not going to explain to you what FOCUS and AGILE do because that’s available to you elsewhere, just know that once you get used to the controller and the idea of having it—it is a game changer! More precision or speed as you need it at your fingertips? Yes please. If you’re alrwady considering this controller this should be a sign that you should give it a try.I decided to because I used a Razer copperhead Mouse when I PC gamed back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth (Quake 2), and was always very happy with it. I’m glad I decided to try the Wolverine, it has not disappointed yet.Edit—August 25th 2020—I am STILL using the controller. One paddle has stopped working, but it’s a minor inconvenience. I’m still incredibly happy with my purchase nearly 3 years later!

I bought this controller because my previous Razer Wildcat was starting to mess up after 2000 hours+ of game time and I do not regret it at all. The grip is perfect, the joysticks are the perfect size and the additionnal bumpers are working just as well as on the Wildcat, it's the same. With Razer Synapse for XBox, that you can get on Windows Store if you have Windows 10, you can easily reconfigure what the buttons do to whatever you want, and you can also desactivate them. The ABXY buttons are a bit different than the ones on the Wildcat, you have to put more pressure on them to activate them, unlike the Wildcat which needed only a slight touch. I feel those buttons on the Wolverine much more natural. They are still clicky and mechanical, but you have to press them half the way through to activate the switch. I think this is the main difference between the Wildcat and Wolverine and I think the Wolverine is a better feeling overall, plus the chroma lightning is nice.I recommend it 100%EDIT:con: - The switch to lock the triggers is sticking out, so it's really easy to accidentally lock the trigger, which really screw me over when I'm in the middle of an intense play. Now I have to find a manner of removing or cutting that thing.
