No more fussing with bulky, unsightly, insecure, makeshift protection. It maintains a tonal clarity which a handkerchief cannot achieve and the pad, attached by a simple Velcro system, rests directly on the chinrest and not the instrument. You'll be impressed by the comfort supplied by this foam cushioned pad. It is easily detachable but need not be removed to fit into your case. It is also washable. Strad Pads are highly recommended for students. This model is the original beige colored standard size.

The product works as intended, it’s soft, however I wish it was a touch longer so it protected the neck a little more. But the backing on the Velcro was impossible to get off. We never did get it all- it tore apart leaving part on the sticky side, so it doesn't adhere fully to the chin rest. For the cost, that should not happen. It makes me wonder how old they are.

I love these things! This is the third one I've bought. Originally had one for like 10 years. Replaced it, had it for another 10 years. Bought a new violin and bought a new one. Prevents the dreaded violin hickey. And it's so comfortable! When i play other violins without a Strad Pad I'm always thrown off by how hard and angular the chin rests are. Buy it. It's awesome.

Excellent product! Prevents the edge of the chinrest from digging into my jaw. I like the way this pad wraps over the edge of the chinrest and the violin. It is quite a bit more comfortable than the gel pad type which leaves the edge of the chinrest exposed.

I really like using this. I always felt like my chin rest was digging into my neck. The strad pad is soft and slightly cushioned. It sticks to the chin rest and covers most of the hardware on the bottom of the violin. The tan color is fine - I would use it for a performance. Yes, it is expensive, but I've learned over the years that trying to cut costs in this hobby costs more in the long run.
