Excelente Producto.

It's like an Italian car.Italian cars are amazing to drive, but also finicky and prone to issues. This Italian 88-key controller seems like it is true to that heritage. It's amazing to play. The action is medium weighted (not heavy) and very responsive, very piano like, and mechanically quiet with very little key release noise. Excellent. The finish on the keys is ideal, ivory-like, not at all plasticy and sticky, and none of that ridiculously over-textured black key business either. The Studiologic software all worked flawlessly on my macbook, and provides a myriad of settings to tweak if desired. No issues with connectivity, and I updated the keyboard firmware first thing when I received it.But. The keys and their response, in my unit, were inconsistent.First I discovered that the C6 key had a heavier physical touch weight than its neighbours - this was noticeable only when trying to play very gently, but then was obvious. Some sort of friction issue?Next the G2 key would not produce correct midi velocity on repeated doublets. This seemed to resolve after I rapidly pressed the key many many times, hoping to work out whatever was happening there. Appeared to work.Next the C3 key acted up and was not rebounding properly, at one point settling well below its normal position. My repeated-hammering on the key seemed to help, but the key still retained a different damping characteristic compared to its neighbours.Next I noticed the G3 key was sending randomly reduced velocity on repeated notes, unlike its neighbours which were fine.At this point I gave up.. if the keyboard had this many issues showing up in the first couple of weeks, what am I in for down the road? I sent it back to Amazon. It may well be that the SL88 Grand needs an extensive "break-in" period, but I couldn't take the chance of being stuck with a lemon after my 30 day return window was up.It's possible that I got some sort of an older production unit, as the box it arrived in looked like it had been through a war zone. I hated to send the keyboard back, as it holds so much promise... If the keys responded flawlessly this would be a fantastic find. If you buy it, test it relentlessly when you get it. If you get a good unit you will likely be really happy, unless you have to lug it around (it's not a lightweight).

I ordered three times for this product and this below is my review.+++first review for first one+++I had it for 2hrs but returned it following reasons below. (No photo attached)1. Some keys are too strong to push than others (makes it difficult to press), resulting in awkward sound while playing the piano.2. While I press several keys, the depth is not similar to each other.Poor quality control!!++++review for second one+++I reordered and got it. The second one was good, but while I was playing I found something wrong in the last key note (C8). please see the first photo attached. It seems like there is some problem related to the spring inside.(it is just around two weeks since I got, I use it for around 1hr every day)Since the key is located in the very last, it would be no problems during playing but I am worrying that if this happens in the middle for the future then it will be problematic during playing. Also, some keys are not well set for the pressing force (kind of same issue I found from the first ordering), but I hope I will get used to it+++My last review for third one+++I was not 100% happy about the touch feeling of my recently ordered keyboard so that I ordered it again. However, once I opened the box today, the key (A8) was completely broken (See the second and third photo attached). The shipping box was ok. So, I think it would be damaged due to shocking during delivery or the product had an issue during manufacturing.I will return it tomorrow, and I decided not to order any keyboard from Studiologic product. So, my conclusion is Studiologic is losing their name and I think their product is not reliable.it is your choice whether to buy it or not, I hope my experience would be helpful for your decision about this product.

I'm a semi-pro musician with decades of song-writing experience. I was a little reluctant to order this online given a few unfavorable reviews, but I can say that I'm thoroughly happy with my purchase. I'm using it in my home studio, mostly with the Ivory Italian Grand vsti, and the weighted keys make a huge difference. I've never owned a real piano, but this is as close as I need to get. Its also a fine all-around midi controller for my other synth and orchestral vsti's. I'm with-holding the 5th star until I see how it holds up after a year of use, though my expectations at this point are very high. Thank you Amazon & Cosmo music!

The feel is great and is very close to the feel of a real piano. The action is slightly heavier that I would have liked, but overall this is a huge step up from most other keyboards. Much better value than a VPC-1, and not that much of a difference.
