What is the principle?
1.The super absorbent fiber weave technology of the mesh towel regulates the water inside and ensures water retention, so it's treating it kind of like an air-conditioner, and within seconds you get cooler.
2.Like sweat on you skin, when water evaporates it cools. Any ole cotton or microfiber towel would work, but not as well design to maximize evaporative cooling or comfort.
3.If you are sweating a lot, rinse the 'salty water' out from time to time. Salt reduces evaporation/cooling rate

I am not entirely sure what I was expecting here, but these seem to have some form of magic woven into them. The cooling that doesn't change even when wrapped around a very hot person seems to defy physics. They retain their cool for ages, and then a quick fold and flick means they are back to ice cold immediately. Excellent for dropping body temperature after a hot bike ride as well ( bit wet round the back of the neck ), much less drippy than a normal wet towel for this.Definitely worth every single penny in the currently hot and sweaty UK

Bought these before taking the nieces and nephews on a trip to the zoo. It was a very hot day and these came in handy. Warm water or cold, doesn't matter. These things get cool no matter what. And it was easy enough to dampen them every now and again to keep the kids cool.

It was 95 degrees everyday when we went to Disney and I loved these! I wet them and froze them in thier pouches the night before and put them in our backpack cooler. I’d take them out when we needed to cool down and they were still frozen. Very refreshing! Then I’d clip them to my backpack purse for the day. Also nice when I needed to clean off my kids hands!My kids and husband didn’t really use them because they did leave your clothing damp but I loved them!

I purchased this product for the first time during the heat wave in BC. However, it arrived at the end of the heat wave but still managed to give me some cool feelings during the day when I was working at home.

The Cooling effect doesn't last in the Dubai peak summer. It is good for a maximum of 30 minutes.
