This is my third set of Sunnex universal impact sockets. I have the 1/2 dr and long and short 3/8 drive sets. At first I went easy on them and I don't know why? The past couple of weekends I've been doing some suspension work on my G8 and the rear control arms are loaded with 18mm and a couple of 21-22mm bolts. I gave them a work out with my Milwaukee 1/2 - 3/8 drive impacts without any problems. My 1/2dr set I've had for a couple of years and the 3/8 sets are fairly new. Price is very good and no sizes are skipped in these sets!

I am a semi-retired career mechanic and I have old sets of KAL brand 1/2" swivel sockets that have been used and used and abused but have for the most part survived. I really liked KAL tools even better than snap-on or other popular tools. KAL was sold by Grainger (I'm sure others as well) and was a Japanese manufacturer that made bullet proof tools. I say all this as I compared these sockets to the KAL sockets and they are very similar. Swivel sockets aren't a necessity for mechanics, you can just use a swivel adapter with the appropriate socket and get nearly the same result. Swivel sockets are a little smaller and frequently will fit where the swivel adapter/socket may not, but it is hard to justify the cost. Swivel sockets made by the big tool guys are very expensive. That is why I haven't bought any 3/8" ones until now. I saw these and read the reviews and figured how could I go wrong for this price. They work well, seem to be machined accurately and so far I haven't been able to break any. My only 3/8" impact tools are an IR impact ratchet that is rated at 180 ft. lbs. and probably rarely could reach that number, and a couple cordless impacts but none of these could really test these sockets. Pneumatic impact wrenches are the most powerful and all I have are 1/2" and 3/4" ones which are probably too much. but I believe these sockets could stand up to a more powerful 3/8" impact wrench with no problem. Quality product at a reasonable price highly recommended.

This set of swivel sockets is pretty good for it's price. Not the quality of the big name brands such as SK or Snap-on, but you can definitely feel that it is a quality product. I've used these sockets with high torque impacts, and so far haven't had one failed one me yet. They seem durable and I love how it comes with a full set. My complaint is that the base of the socket where it mounts to the impact is quite thick, causing potential clearance issues.
