Suunto has a reputation for quality and this compass does not disappoint, light weight, durable, scale markings and magnifier allow it to be used equally well on the map table and on the trail, very accurate, readings match electronic compass exactly, fluid stabilization keeps the needle steady on the move, dial turns easily and holds in place, the large numbers with glow in the dark make it easy to read night or day, this is my go-to compass

Ya la marca te da confianza, pero al tenerla en la mano te das cuenta que está construida con muy buen material. Tuve una muy similar de marca desconocida y esta se nota que es "the real thing". Muy recomendable.

Suunto is the real deal between is peers. Seemingly insanely overpriced... well no, it is overpriced. You pay that premium for premium quality, mostly. Is it worth that compared to, say, a similar Silva - with which you could do exactly the same stuff with the same level of accuracy? Up to you to decideI saw this 30 on discount and grabbed it, and am happy. It is a good compass, and it does everything right

Remember this is not Suunto's best compass with the permanent magnetic deviation setting, mirrored site, etc. But it is a professional grade compass with an extremely large magnifying glass on the baseplate for reading the small print everpresent on a map; luminous dial, needle and directional markings that are brighter than any of my top grade Silva and Suunto siting compasses. It is made in Finland, not China, this matters when it comes to quality. The Chinese made Silva equivalent is flimsy, lacks readabilty in low light situations, has a smaller magnifying glass and costs more. I did my homwork, am an experienced land navigator and own many compasses.

Doesn't have as many features as suunto's more high end compasses, but it's very accurate and it'll do the job for backcountry camping, canoeing, etc.

Had half a dozen other compasses that frustrated me due to them being temperamental finding true north. This compass is great, finds north fast and stays true. Use it for hunting with a gun always close by, doesn't seem to affect it at all. Money well spent, id do it again. Also the glow in the dark components are very handy at dusk / dawn.
